I can’t remember where we watched what but just finished ‘this is us’ on Amazon Prime and absolutely loved it but lost without it. Please could you recommend something to watch with DH next?

We also enjoyed;
Money Heist
Little Fires Everywhere
Ozark
Suits
The Crown
White Lines
The Stranger
Unorthodox
Schitts Creek
Sex Education

Netflix, the film Ladies in Black, a real feel good film.

jay55 · 26/09/2020 17:31

If you fancy a gentle comedy Corner Gas on Amazon is great.

Daisypickle · 26/09/2020 18:06

The Fall
Breaking Bad
Line of Duty
Top Boy
Narcos

All bloody brilliant!

Really easy series to watch - Cobra Kai if you ever watched Karate Kid as a child...whole family really enjoyed it here and Prison Break.

And definitely The Handmaids Tale on Prime....I'm halfway through...absolutely bizarre but gripping and brilliant.

Daisypickle · 26/09/2020 18:07

Oh and for a really fun film... Vacation, so funny!

Ynwa1234 · 26/09/2020 18:17

Cobra kai is brilliant.
Damages on prime very good
Film on Netflix night school had me laughing out loud!

Sweetchillijam · 26/09/2020 19:46

@TheNewLook yes feels like I am in mourning don’t feel quite ready to take the plunge yet. I don’t like anything too scary or gory.
I have 7.39 recorded and will look for us and some of the other recommendations.

OP, I liken it to coming out of a long-term relationship. You need a few flings before getting serious again!

Dead to me on Netflix
Life in pieces on Prime
Both excellent!

aprilshowers2015 · 26/09/2020 20:03

Also lost without This is Is and find myself half heartedly watching random shows in the hope of finding something anywhere near as good...
Life in Pieces on Amazon and The Good Place on Netflix are both v. Good. If you have Sky/Now TV, definitely watch "The Good Doctor".

AlfieandAnnieRose · 26/09/2020 20:12

@TheNewLook 🤣

I've just binged watched 'Why Women Kill' on Alibi - absolutely loved it! Dark comedy and brilliant!

EraOfTheGrey · 01/10/2020 16:19

Random stuff I liked;

  • I am the Night, based on the unsolved case of The Black Dahlia in the 1960's. Chris Pine is excellent in it.
  • Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, surreal and funny.
  • Utopia, the Uk version, dark and funny.
