Just wondering what everyone’s favourite Game Of Thrones character is? Mine has got to be Tyrion!

Prince Oberyn, The Hound, Bron, Tormund, Arya.

Scorpiowoman80 · 01/09/2020 02:28

Ah yes I hated theon, but he definitely grew on me... Bran was such a twat! I think Gendry should’ve been king.

Davos, Brienne, Jamie and The Hound.......but Cersei, Tywin, Joffrey, Littlefinger and Varys were just a joy to watch chewing up the scenes.

Neither my husband or I bothered with it when it was actually on. We started watching it as and when we had time at the end of last year, then during lockdown we got really into it and often stayed up until 5/6 am watching loads of episodes a night (not ideal when you have a young child but never mind).
My favourite was Tyrion by a mile, loved him, in fact he's one of my favourite tv characters ever, not just GOT. Also loved Jon Snow, and though he wasn't in it long Ned Stark I thought was a brilliant character. And though I can see why she was hated in the end, I loved Daenerys as well. Thought her whole story was really good.

I like how everyone has erased the Sand Snakes from their consciousness. They were properly awful.

I liked Jaime, Tywin, Theon, Brienne, and Olenna. Walder Frey was entertainly horrible as well. I would have loved to see a Tywin/Olenna autumn-years romance, they used to really spark off each other 🤣

FuckKnowsMate · 01/09/2020 08:15

The Hound for me! Although so so many it's hard to actually choose.
I liked Baelish in a way as he was SO manipulative, I was always guessing if he was actually a goody or a baddy!
Robin Arryn was an annoying little twerp however.

AliceLutherNeeMorgan · 01/09/2020 08:22

Lyanna Mormont, the Lady of Bear Island.

I loved the way she cut through the crap of the ball-swinging men and got down to the job. Even though she was a child

I also loved Princess Shireen Sad

I am ready for a massive autumn re-watch of GoT

MaidenMotherCrone · 01/09/2020 08:30

Tormund but maybe that's because he's a dead ringer for my DH Grin

DioneTheDiabolist · 01/09/2020 13:05

Oh I forgot about Lady Mormont. A tiny force to be reckoned with. If she'd had dragons the whole thing would have been over in a fortnight.Grin

musicinspring1 · 01/09/2020 18:15

Sand snakes were such a waste in the TV programme.
I loved Lyanna Mormont too. I also liked Jorah Mormont and Jeor Mormont so if this was 'pick a clan' I think I'm team Mormont [Big grin]

EoinMcLovesCakeJumper · 01/09/2020 20:14

Oh, I forgot Ser Davos and Stannis. Although I went off him after his spectacular parenting fail.

Yeah, I liked the book Sand Snakes. In the adaptation they had no role in furthering the plot that couldn't have been done by somebody else, so they came across like they were just there to provide extra tits.

MilktheMilk · 01/09/2020 23:19

Cersei. Her cutting remarks were the best, and she was so good at playing the game. It's a shame they made her so pointless in the final season. She spent the whole time just glugging wine and staring out of windows.

Tyrion- again brilliant one liners but completely dulled down in the final season.

Sansa- great character development.

John Snow- he's just really likeable.

Distressedchic · 01/09/2020 23:28

The Queen of Thorns.
What a character, and has the best ending of the show too.

VashtaNerada · 02/09/2020 07:22

spectacular parenting fail Grin

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 02/09/2020 07:34

So hard to chose, but I would have to go with Tyrion, with Theon, Bron, the hound, and Hodor in joint second place

BacklashBacklash · 02/09/2020 07:36

Jaime, Brienne, Arya, Lyanna Mormont, Oberyn Martell, Tormund, Ygritte, Talisa.

Exactly the same as me! We started watching last year and finished it in around 2 weeks 😂

Gosh ALL of them.
No one seemed to be there for no reason. A truly fabulous show and I've watched it twice already. For some reason can't get my DD18 interested in it.

Scuttles off to start watching it all over again......

Starksforthewin · 04/09/2020 03:42

Well, as my user name reveals, I have a whole family of favourite characters... 😀

However, my girl Arya is number one. A child surviving without her family and vowing to avenge them... The moment when she returns to Winterfell and sees it on the snowy horizon was television perfection for me.

I know everyone says the Starks had plot armour for the later series, but quite right in my view, they are the heart of the story. Everything came down to love and family.
I was so upset that they were divided in four different places in the end... Sob
