Clocking Off

Missed this when it was first on and we've recently got Britbox so watching a load of old programmes. I'm loving Clocking Off but do they ever resolve the stories, they seem to just end and then a new story starts for the following episode.

We've nowhere near finished but the ones I'm wondering about are when Kev finds out his new neighbour and work colleague is a paedophile, when the guy sets up the truck robbery so he can leave his wife and move in with the carer/cleaning woman and when the guys have a night out and get into a fight ending up in a stabbing.

I don't want to know the outcomes if these are going to be shown at a later time but I'm going to be frustrated if they just end as they did.

Agree, that some of the episodes are left in abit of a limbo. The 4 fellas who are embroiled in the fight doesnt finish quite right. I think Kev's Story end could be better. Those photos of Kev on the football field with no shirt on arnt so incriminating really. What would make Kev shit himself even more was if somehow a photo of him shagging the social worker materialised.

Jenny's Story was great. But really, how could she nick a baby in broad daylight and get away with it? What with CCTV etc.

Pat's Story was harrowing. But i suppose she had little other option really. The episode with the disabled brother getting the flack for the assault was tragic. The one with the mentally disturbed wanna be soilder was strange. Did he rape Kim? I liked Alan's story. Him discovering he is infertile.

Also regarding Jenny's Story, a woman's baby dies, then the woman disappears from the area suddenly. She woild be number one suspect. Her face would be plastered everywhere

I wasnt keen on the Yvonne Story. A fella prepared to take on a bolshy woman with 3 youngish kids. A bloke who works in the airline industry and meets loads of women he could pick from. Nah.

Poor Suzie got herself in a right tizzy in her Story. She should have got it off her chest to one of her bridesmaids before the wedding and proceeded with the wedding instead of doing all that damage.

I love this programme. I wish they would make more.

Pat and Freda's story was good. Jeez talk about things escalating out of control. Freda was well out of order.

Bev was a hard nosed one. Her bloke was in This Life. Mind you all of the actors have been in other things. Kev was in Heartbeat, the very 1st episode. Will Ash in Making Out. Grace's Mum was aswell.

Liked Julie's Story. A good twist to the story. A character with such likeability.
