But he didn't really resurface though, just in her head.

agree totally that he is a baddy. at the grand old age of 400 years, he is definitly too old to believe he can 'save the world'
he is out for revenge on hiro. plain and simple. and he has been stewingn init for sooo long. he's probly forgotten his reaosns for wanting revenge.
