Ohhh I love these threads...

At the moment I HATE the Tampax 'you gotta get em up there girls". It's just so cringey and I've only watched it when on my own, can't imagine how awkward it would be watching with my dad or something lol

Mutunus · 22/08/2020 16:19

Mrsjayy please tell me that's not actually on TV is it Shock

I vote the Colgate one as well. It's just toothpaste ffs.

sleepyhead · 22/08/2020 16:42

God yes, I really dont want to talk to my 7 yr old about erectile dysfunction just before my tea (or at any time tbh).

And incontinence products adverts should have to mention seeing your gp/getting physiotherapy imo (and no, those pants are not pretty).

Mrsjayy · 22/08/2020 16:50

Mrsjayy please tell me that's not actually on TV is it

It really isShock

TimeTruthandHearts · 22/08/2020 16:51

Feckin vacuum cleaner ones. G tech or Shark where the guy talks about a 'one paaaar battery' or some such, and there's a Vax one where it sucks up spaghetti bolognaise. Wrongsville, New Mexico .

I do like the Bold one that uses the Spandau song 'gold' though... just for the singers voice in the 'need some clothes, yeah you need some clothes!' bit.

Virgo1958 · 22/08/2020 17:31

Just Eat one where a rapper is singing a really annoying slow song. Perf with Serf and trendy Robert de Niro.

Virgo1958 · 22/08/2020 17:42

Oh and just seen it Purple Bricks and the athletes

fucknuckle · 22/08/2020 17:46

the slimfast one with Kelly Brooke.

there’s a woman halfway through it eating porridge who opens her mouth SO WIDE, presumably to demonstrate the utter deliciousness of low fat instant porridge.

makes me cross every time.

fucknuckle · 22/08/2020 18:55

oh!

the alexa one with the sweaty curly-haired man in speedos going back in time to request that the opera singing woman does I Feel Love instead.

goose1964 · 22/08/2020 19:20

The one that starts erectile dysfunction is common in men. It's hardly going to be in women is it.

louise5754 · 22/08/2020 21:23

@Virgo1958 The Snoop Dogg one???

Why on earth he agreed to do that I don't know!! Doubt he needs they money.

Same as Schofield doing yoga with a goat standing on him. Why??

nildesparandum · 24/08/2020 21:37

The toothpaste one already mentioned by a previous poster. It must be one of the most annoying repetitive advert ever.
''My mouth feels so CLEAN,'' as the model touches her teeth with her tongue. Yuck yuck

Marshmellowskies · 26/08/2020 15:38

The life insurance one were the guys watching home videos with his son " nice hat dad" dont know why but I hate it

Cruddles · 26/08/2020 17:09

@Marshmellowskies I think it's because the acting is so bad. I think it's the same company that does one where the new parents arrive home from hospital with their newborn and they stop outside the house to have a terrible conversation about life insurance. And it's obvious they not actually holding a child, just some blankets

Willowmartha1 · 27/08/2020 20:50

Not annoying but inappropriate the bonking couple on the Zoopla advert!!

OP posts:
Cruddles · 28/08/2020 21:28

Any ad that has a cover version of a formerly good song sung by a whispley woman in a airy fairy way. Latest one is Volvo SUV ad doing a cover of Born to be Wild

Cruddles · 10/09/2020 13:56

The new ASDA one with the curly haired bloke with a face you want to slap. Not sure what it is but the ad gives me the right hump

alfrew · 10/09/2020 18:58

That bloody woman on the Oral B ad, with her stupid wiggling and her smug expression.

"I know how to keep my body healthy....." Get lost!

toffee1000 · 13/09/2020 16:09

The most ridiculous thing about the Oral B woman is that she supposedly has no idea how to keep her mouth healthy, yet has perfectly white teeth!!

jessstan2 · 13/09/2020 16:51

The Plantar shampoo one in which the woman whispers, "...shah-ring", when she means, 'Showering'.

Rhubardandcustard · 13/09/2020 17:07

@cruddles

Was just going to say the same about that Asda advert. It seems to be in tv everytime I watch something and I also don’t know why but the man in it really gets on my nerves - I can’t bear the ad.

Cruddles · 13/09/2020 17:47

Another ad using a whispy voiced female singer sucking the life out of an energetic song, not sure who the ad is for but they're using a cover of that You And Me song by the Wannadies
