If I loved Ashes to Ashes and Life on Mars......

What show would you recommend for me? I've recently finished both above mentioned shows and they were really good. I've not been watching a lot of tv shows in the past 20+ years so I need to catch up now! Stranger things? Twin peaks? Better call saul? Are any of them remotely like ashes to ashes or life on mars?

Mad men? Not the same but similar in showing the attitudes and fashion of the time period with a good plot and interesting characters.

Stranger things is like a really dark version of the goonies. It is excellent but not like life on Mars at all.

If you like the Time Travel aspect-try Outlander.

Lie to Me

I loved both if those as well. I also enjoyed mad dogs..has john simm and Philip glenister in.

Also the capture which is on iplayer. not time travel but both brilliant!

I got bored of outlander after a while.

Lewis is great if you like crime that’s not TOO serious/gory (I’m looking at you, Luther)

The Bay. Broadchurch. Deadwater Fell.

Line of Duty. Nothing supernatural, not a period piece, but intricate plots about crime and police work. Lots of great actors and characters. Very violent at times.
