Can someone please recommend me something to watch?

Kids have gone away to their dad's place for the weekend, and I'd really like to get my teeth into something new.
Thrillers really are my thing. Series I've enjoyed so far have been Mindhunter, Unbelievable, Dirty John, Twin, and the Sinner.
The Stranger didn't grab me, and nor did Netflix's How To Make A Murderer.
I don't want to watch Tiger King as I would end up focusing on the animals' plight, and not giving a shit about the humans in it. I wouldn't be able to watch the one about the abuse of the wee boy.
But I do like gritty, and the grittier and scarier the better!

Try something new!

Smoke & Mirrors is a great thriller (it’s a Spanish film and unbelievably it’s actually true!). If you like that then ‘The Bar’ is also good. Both on Netflix. As is El Hoya - very gritty!

If you don’t like subtitles ‘Gorky Park’ is a great film.

Fargo is also fab (it’s on Netflix)

Thanks all. I don't think anything will live up to Mindhunter for me.
I did binge on the whole of Reckoning over the weekend though, and enjoyed it.
On episode 3 or 4 of Ozark, and I'm still on the fence with that.

Realise this is an old thread, but I second the True Detective recommendation @Dieu. Very gritty and great performance from Matthew McConaughey.
