Has anyone started watching this? www.channel4.com/programmes/the-other-mother/on-demand/71222-001

Quite enjoyed episode 1, though a bit like first episode of Emergence not sure if this will be a thriller or an X Files.

Also, to huge relief now know where TinTin. Not excluded from the inner circle of Spiral but has a better offer.

At least I think its him. Confused

Watched the whole series today , loved it.

Don't think it was Tin Tin ? Also loved Spiral

I've just got the last episode to go. It's really good.
Btw, I don't think it's on every Sunday day. The first one was shown on Ch4, with the rest all online.

Double oh no!

I thought the one at the end of episode one who went into the Captain's office was the same actor as tintin, but I was wrong Blush

And really cross the whole series wont be broadcast. I have watching tv on computer screen. Its just so unrewarding.

Going off to sulk.

I made the mistake of watching all of this having dug out my very long hdmi cable so I could stream to tv, and just couldn't be bothered to stop it going on to next episode.

I think I would have got more out of it, as plot quite complicated (for my brain any way) to have spread out my watching.

Though not quite sure about it somehow implying that the lead character was maybe a bit too emotional, and not professional enough to have got her job as commander.

But think definitely better than a few others I made the mistake of starting, but not as good as Spiral. And sadly not TinTin. Not sure why I ever thought it was. Was always sad by him being excluded from the inner circle.

So wouldn't say its a must see, but better than most.

Couldn’t get on with this :(

I binge watched this over the bank holiday weekend. Really enjoyed it. But I really must get back to 'Thicker Than Water'. Grin

I was really not sure about the ending. Someone who has taken part in a crime/s and a cover up, who has taken the proceeds of the crime and has continually and deliberately lied to the police gets away with it, but it is OK because they are a parent. And loads of people die but the mothers get their kids back, again, so that's also OK. Trying to be vagueish.

Also, this is yet another European drama where the main female character is over emotional (usually described as 'feisty'), kicks the furniture a lot, doesn't follow police procedure, tends to be short tempered with her colleagues and underlings (who usually love and are loyal to her) and is generally shit at her job. Surreptitious sexism? They also often have someone close to them who is batting against them.

I sound like I hated it, which I didn't, just felt that the first couple of episodes were interesting and held promise and then it tailed off and became messy and more and more unbelievable.

I quite liked it and loved the little boy. He acted so good in it. Wasn't keen on the policewoman. She got on my nerves and, of course, she had to be pregnant at the end

I loved this. I think the ending was best for the child.
