Vikings or The last Kingdom?!

I love Vikings series 1-3 (to just after taking Paris) but then I think it loses momentum and cohesion Because Last Kingdom is based on really strong story telling in the books, that now with a bit more money from Netflix (as compared to BBC) it is really starting to win out. They are both worth watching.

Black sails is pretty good, slightly cheesy initially but worth sticking with. Gorgeous sets and locations (and men tbh).

I liked The Witcher and Black Sails too, although it did take a while to get going.

Knightfall is another good one if you like that kind of thing.

@JuanSheetIsPlenty totally get what you mean about it being Hollywood’s. First series really grabbed my attention and was interesting but as the production values went up the rest of it went downhill.

The Last Kingdom was my preference. Didn't get on with Vikings.
Also recommend Black Sails.
