Robert and Emily and daughter EMILY swap homes and budgets with siobhan and ANDY and their 3 children

My only moan is that they don’t swap with same number of children

Be good for rich kids to share a bedroom like the poor usually do

I do think it's unfair when there's a diff in the no of kids. Feeding an extra £10 on £54 when even just the CB of £13 extra would be huge.

When rich family went out to work where did they leave the baby?

SleepingStandingUp · 13/04/2020 19:45

Also the poor house is decorated nicely considering the money, I wonder how much they're paying Bright House?

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/04/2020 15:32

I’ve always said they need to swap with same number of kids

Mainly so the rich have to learn to know what’s its like to share a bedroom

I was a bit uncomfortable with this weeks, another attempt to promote the couples training business, which felt a bit snake oil. A bit like the wolf of Wall Street chap doing seminars(even if their underlying business is legit).

I didn't understand the poor couples situation entirely, if the bloke had a trade or if he was doing general labouring on roofs.
If he had a trade would have thought travelling further afield for work would have made sense.

SleepingStandingUp · 14/04/2020 20:03

I think he's just working casually as work came up and she wouldn't work cos of Lillie. Really if he can't get regular work, she should be working full time and him having the child

purpleme12 · 14/04/2020 20:12

But to me it came across that she was holding them back cos she just didn't want to put the girl in childcare

When I looked into this when it was time for me to go back to work and I was in minimum wage too working part time, with a partner. The amount I would have got off benefits was hardly anything and if I went back to work I was getting way more.
She said herself she had an issue putting her in childcare

SleepingStandingUp · 14/04/2020 20:19

Yeah that's what I meant about Lillie, she said she wouldn't put her in child care and only felt happy of she was with her or Dad. So assuming childcare would be too expensive or her anxiety too high, she should be working stable hours and salary and they'd probably get tax credits rather than him presumably being technically self employed and earning sporadically

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/04/2020 12:26

I got the impression that mum didn’t want to work

And the dads work was sparse. So he should have travelled longer

And the rich couple present of £30k training prob didn’t help them much tbh

Anyone watching this weeks

Seems weird to have friends do it

But lovely what they did at the end

Don’t want to spoil

But better then £30k training like last weeks

OP posts:
purpleme12 · 20/04/2020 18:33

Yes it is weird. They've done it once before with friends. Never used to. They should stick to same household. But then again it said that the mum's grown up daughter had moved out and she did the swap with them

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/04/2020 18:41

True. But no kids again

Why does the rich family not have kids anymore

OP posts:
purpleme12 · 20/04/2020 19:18

The rich family were both divorced and didn't live with their kids full time but I agree it's weird not to do it with kids. That's the whole point.

I'm not bothered personally if there's different number of kids on each side but yes there should definitely be kids on each side going the swap

SleepingStandingUp · 20/04/2020 20:14

It doesn't make sense, both guys had kids, why not do it with the kid? Surely rich kids have more to learn than grown ups in this?

bettybattenburg · 20/04/2020 20:17

Maybe the mothers didn't agree - I wouldn't.

SleepingStandingUp · 20/04/2020 20:26

Because of being with their dad a week or because of living in the poor house? Just nosey

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/04/2020 22:01

Guess I wouldn’t want my child on a reality show

But why do they keep choosing rich but no kids v poor and kids

OP posts:
SleepingStandingUp · 21/04/2020 10:43

Laco of applicants?

Better telly Re poor kids altho this one the kid barely featured.

Couple with no dependents with 30-40 left after bills where they both workor have an "acceptable" back story for why they don't probably isn't that easy to find

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/04/2020 19:17

Will be interesting how local to me in tonight’s

Jessen hubby and 3 kids who live in Bradford deep with a swanley pad in KENT

I live in Kent

Bet the rich KENT lot have no kids

That seems to be the theme this series

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 26/04/2020 21:16

Good they both have kids for once

Why does he sleep in the truck and not in a hotel??

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/04/2020 22:15

Both lovely couples

Just caught up with the episode of the single mum with the grown up daughter and young son.

I found them mum and daughter quite annoying. They seemed to do nothing but giggle like school children. I also found it rude trying on the guys clothes. It was lovely what they did at the end and I hope the mum can set up the business that she wants to do.

Biker47 · 27/04/2020 19:16

Why does he sleep in the truck and not in a hotel??

Alot of long distance drivers sleep in their cabs. It's probably more normal than them staying in hotels.

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/04/2020 09:02

I assumed to save money plus don’t like leaving their truck Incase is theft maybe

OP posts:
leckford · 29/04/2020 09:08

Don’t watch it, or other similar programmes. Perhaps the family with 1 child are better off because they have only 1 child?
