I've now caught up (for the next 18 hours or so) so can join in here!
very uneven this series, two episodes (5 and 3 I think) were incredibly dull - if you read comments on reviews rather than reviews you'll see that many agree. First episode incomprehensible and I only got a lot of what was going on after reading up afterwards - that's not how it should be. Two and six were excellent, stuff actually happened rather than people just walking about occasionally shooting at each other. Electric car chase in 5 was just comically slow.
Tessa Thompson as Charlotte-ish is much better than last series, doing well despite staggering about in tight skirts and fugly heels in action scenes. Although where she has been tucking that gun in a skin-tight waistband is a puzzle, Dolores does the same. She's now got flat biker boots for walking about in.
Sound quality and acting are big issues, French bloke is almost incomprehensible and Evan Rachel Wood is very mumbly at times. No-one can say 'Rehoboam' so that you can hear it. Also amused that Wood has enough clout to demand that naked Dolores suddenly has the long hair so she isn't seen topless. This isn't the case for all the actresses.
Thandie Newton is the absolute highlight, totally understandable (what a beautiful voice and of course British so I would understand her better), clearly showing every emotion to tell the story and even making it funny at times, admittedly with the best part.
not sure what Caleb is for, maybe that will become clear - he's solid wood too. Special effects really shown off in the scene with 3 versions of Ed Harris. BerNARD just wanders about looking puzzled as always.
it seems this is the last series and there are two episodes to go. Probably enough I think. Great ideas but poor production and uneven acting and the latter are the absolute basics.
