HOG fan here too, we also watch pointless first Wink I love the 'writers day off' and 'rhyme time' questions... oh and I want a Richard doll please lol

Helenheller · 17/03/2020 21:21

You are my people. It just makes me feel better about the world - it has such a cosy, warm feeling to it. I know someonw who has met Richard Osman a few times and said he is as lovely as he appears on tv.

JudyCoolibar · 18/03/2020 07:49

I like the dating question, that and the spelling one are about the only ones where I tend to do quite well.

24hoursfromtulsa · 18/03/2020 08:20

Big fans here too!

Favourite rounds are Z to A where the letters come up one at a time and you have to say the connection between the 3 words, Broken Karaoke, Question Writers Day Off, and This Round is in Code.

Loved Miles Jupp, and Richard Osman is just lovely.

Pinkarsedfly · 18/03/2020 08:23

We love it!

YY to bloody Lou Sanders. Hope they don’t have her on again.

Miles Jupp and Johnny Ball were lovely though Smile

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 18/03/2020 08:46

What about the prizes?

We actually call the shows trolley bag day, toolbox day, fondue set day etc. and like the way Richard cautions against the wine and the cologne 😁

Still excited by the anticipation that someone will eventually win five nights running.

LaMarschallin · 18/03/2020 09:44

I like the intro round where you have to shout "NOW!" when the vocals start.

And I'm giving serious consideration as to how I could become a sleb and, hence, qualify to appear.
Obviously, I'd be the first to win all four Blush and would then win the Winners' Special BlushBlush

And I know my prizes.
I want:

The smoking jacket dressing gown
The fondue set
The luggage
The duvet set
The doll

Mr LaMa says you don't have to actually shout if you're just watching at home. He's wrong, right?

I only bothered to find the stopwatch on my phone because of that.

I have a (very real) phobia of smoking and associated terms.

You don't even want to know what I'd do with that.
Don't tell me some of you haven't thought of it.
I certainly wouldn't trust Mr LaMa alone with a Victoria Coren-Mitchell doll.

LaMarschallin · 18/03/2020 09:46

Bah!
Posted too soon.

I'd added some asterisks but it seems there is a minimum asterix law on MN.

Anyway, if you like HoG, you'll be able to understand it.

seekingwaxwings · 18/03/2020 10:27

I'm convinced the 'Richard Osman action figure' is actually a repurposed Sue Perkins action figure.

ppeatfruit · 18/03/2020 11:01

Oh yes I started watching HOG because EggHeads used to be on that time slot. I'm not sure if I prefer it to that. It's fun , I can answer quite a few questions and it's a good breath of fresh air to all the miserable Covid stuff.

BringMeTea · 18/03/2020 13:14

Love it. Yes, poor Flog It Paul. He seems like a lovely man but boy he has some knowledge gaps... 😐

ppeatfruit · 20/03/2020 09:21

I got the feeling that Paul is very unused to answering speedily. It takes a certain type of brain and practice. Maybe he's dyslexic or whatever.

I like him though the Flog it forced 'jokes'' are a bit hard to take. Hmm

viques · 20/03/2020 16:35

I love this too! Except I can never , ever get the word smashes, my brain just doesn't work like that (and I can never recognise the celebs in the pictures)

I think the questions are very clever (apart from word smash) some reliant on general knowledge, some on specific knowledge and some on random chance and good guesses.

FairyBunnyAgain · 20/03/2020 16:43

A favourite here too, one of the few programs the whole family watch, although I fear that may be changing soon as we are forced to be together 24/7

Answers are shouted out here and iPads used where needed!

If they have more episodes recorded do you think that they can be asked to be broadcast sooner

ppeatfruit · 22/03/2020 10:01

Oh a very sad piece of news, Dave from EggHeads has died aged 51. he was lovely. It was in the Radio Times. I didn't know.

TaTuirseOrm · 22/03/2020 11:16

Omg, completely!! I can only see Sue Perkins Grin
I love HoG!!! And I definitely want a RO suitcase- how amazing would that be!!

Letthemysterybe · 22/03/2020 13:37

I love this programme. I feel like the questions are my level! It’s the only programme where I find my self saying the answers out loud as if I’m the fifth contestant!

Binglebong · 22/03/2020 13:44

Love it! And yes, questions are answered out loud.

thefemaleJoshLyman · 22/03/2020 20:46

We all love it, both DC watch and enjoy. DD had the quiz book for Christmas. It's a programme that makes us happy! Smile

Binglebong · 23/03/2020 20:10

I really want this as an app.
