Surely I can't be the only one watching Alex Garland's Devs.
Futuristic technology/conspiracy/murder mini series, with Nick Offerman, Alison Pill and David Lee

Just watching ep1 now. Finding it hard to get into as I work for a silicon valley AI/machine learning company and, whilst its very nice, there are no floating elevators 😁

Just beware if your boss offers you an exciting new job ....

Grin

Luckily I've been on Industrial Espionage 101 so would wait a few weeks before nicking the code.

Are you still watching this? Can't decide if it's good or silly.

species5618 · 19/03/2020 20:59

Still watching. There's enough twists now to make it interesting although it's more of a whodunnit. I was hoping for more Sci-Fi which is my "thing"
I'm also an Alex Garland fan with Ex Machina being one of my favourite films.

Findumdum1 · 20/03/2020 21:59

yeah me too, im struggling to find the sci fi convincing I think. Who would work in a giant concrete box with gold lights constantly pulsating and why would they even be pulsating.

Knobblybobbly · 25/04/2020 22:41

I’ve just finished watching this.

The visual/audio of the past and future.... my question would be, why are we viewing it as if it is being filmed through a camera? Why from this angle and not a different one? For example, why did we view Jesus from below and not above, or from the side?

Surely viewing the past/future would not be like watching an episode of eastenders with neat and tidy camera angles.

Either way, I still really enjoyed it!!

Just finished it and I loved the ending. All a bit weird, but entertaining.
