So, I have just realised this is on. I am so confused by what day it is.

Anyway, I haven't even checked who the judges are and as I have been ill since yesterday, can feel myself nodding off.

I have a question - where do the contestants go who've won previous shows?!
I feel like The Voice is pointless because we never see the winners again!

But I do have two kids under 2 so I'm not stuck to the tv. So I hope I'm wrong!

I googled Dalton to see what happened to him and he had this single out in Dec if anyone's interested

Elmo Becky Hill is the only remotely successful contestant, and she didn't even win.

the only person who has a real career from it - from the first series is Becky Hill- she was 4th , I think- she is still in the charts now- usually as a featured artist on other artists tracks, but , even as of this this week she is has a single out .

Haha! I think I googled this a couple of years ago when that young girl on Tom Jones' team won....I can't remember her name but I remember that I didn't expect her to win it!
Anyway, I think I read that the acts are expected to use their passion to promote themselves, that they are given the tools needed and then have to 'get on with it'. Maybe that's why they aren't seen again!

Becky is a regulat point of discusion on this on this thread (and at the time, she really annoyed us- but we like her now ).

That's a fucking joke when you think how much work goes into promoting artists by record companies.

The X factor ones recently ( last few years) haven't done well either but better than any voice ones apart from Becky of course and and she didn't even win!

She has a voice I would want to listen to.
