Bonkersblond · 24/12/2019 22:16

Home Alone with the DC earlier, now Pulp Fiction with DH.

Blahblahblahnanana · 24/12/2019 22:16

@hiphiphoorayback the Witcher is good, I watched a few episodes last night

jigsawmaniac · 24/12/2019 22:18

Currently Eastenders recorded earlier, now that Santa's been and is all organised, might stick on Die Hard shortly.

hiphiphoorayback · 24/12/2019 22:19

Ah ok thanks you will have a look.

Bickles · 24/12/2019 22:19

Victoria Wood’s Staying In. Classic and Christmassy

halfthesun · 24/12/2019 22:21

Enjoying the Witcher ... my sons are excellent at explaining what is going on 😆

CollaterlieSistersSister · 24/12/2019 22:23

Celebrity Catchphrase. Rather enjoying it, but keep forgetting it’s Christmas Eve!

Christmas with late teens (who are all out out) is a breeeeeze.

Sux2buthen · 24/12/2019 22:24

Pissheads outside screaming 'come on then' and chest bumping each other for at least ten minutes. It started to get lairy so I went to call the police but they all sloped off in different directions. Bunch of embarrassments

BillywigSting · 24/12/2019 22:26

Father Ted, exactly as funny as I remember it Grin

ChidiAnnaKendrick · 24/12/2019 22:28

Bad Moms Christmas 😂

EvilHerbivore · 24/12/2019 22:33

The Gareth Malone hospital thing - don't need to be crying this much on Christmas Eve!

SillyUnMurphy · 24/12/2019 22:46

We’ve watched:
Home Alone
The Tiger Who Came to Tea
Jonathan Ross (I know!)
Not Going Out (which I find bloody hilarious)

Yoollyball · 24/12/2019 22:54

Gavin and Stacey - season 3 last episode- just reminding myself how it ended.
I've just finished binging season 3 of Marvellous Mrs Maisel which was just visually stunning even if the story wandered a bit- I'm a bit bereft.

SillyUnMurphy · 24/12/2019 22:59

Can’t wait for Gavin and Stacey @Yoollyball!

JingleBellsFartlekSmells · 24/12/2019 23:03

Watching DH play video games while I mn. Waiting for DS to go the fuck to sleep so we can get Santa presents down from the attic and wrap them.

ScrambledSmegs · 24/12/2019 23:16

Final episode of A Christmas Carol, then Martin's Close and now The Turn of The Screw. All the ghost stories Grin

user764329056 · 25/12/2019 00:57

Midnight Mass, beautiful singing

MorrisZapp · 25/12/2019 01:04

We watched Frozen, then bits of:

Planes Trains and Automobiles
Beauty and the (incredibly good looking) Beast
A Christmas Carol
A ghost story featuring Peter Capaldi, bit weird
Jane McDonald's Cruising
Vicar of Dibley (effing hilarious)
Carols from Perth presented by Sally Magnusson. We laughed at some of the outfits but the singing was sublime, as were the readings by school kids.

Bunnyfuller · 25/12/2019 01:05

We’re watching a fucking Russian fantasy/supernaturally pile of bollochz.

Yay me with a furriner husband!

I’m playing online games and sneaking peeks at my (stealth boast) sparkly pressy

Alltheprettyseahorses · 25/12/2019 01:38

Watched (and sang along vv loudly to) - Frozen. Can't believe the Radio Times only gave it 4 stars. There aren't enough stars in the universe for that film.

Tried to watch - Beauty and the Beast. Bloody hell, Emma Watson is dire and wrong in every way imaginable for the part. And it's not as 'real' as the cartoon version which is a shame because the Cinderella and Aladdin remakes were marvellous. Actually, it might just be Emma Watson that's the problem because Gaston for example was perfect.

Recorded - some scary programme on BBC 4 that looked good (think it might be that Martin's Close as per PPs), University Challenge and the fun Andre Rieu Christmas thing where he goes up the mountain in a fetching jumper and chases meat cleaver-wielding children around a giant kitchen or something like that while smiling beneficently at everyone.

MooseBeTimeForSummer · 25/12/2019 01:55

@Yoollyball We’re watching Mrs Maisel too! Currently halfway through Series 3.

Watched the Polar Express this afternoon with DS.

Watching, for the first time ever, Die Hard after DS has gone to bed.

MorrisZapp · 25/12/2019 09:09

Totally agree about Frozen. Deserves every star in the galaxy. When Elsa breaks into her barnstorming number I feel my heart soar.

And yes, Emma Watson was atrocious in that Beauty and the Beast. Pointless remake, the cartoon beats it in every particular.

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 25/12/2019 09:16

We watched It's a Wonderful Life. Perfect film for Christmas Eve.

Today we will watch Greatest Showman and maybe Polar Express.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/12/2019 10:09

Monday/Tuesday , DH and I watched Series 1-3 of "Line of Duty" ( he's watched it before , I sort of dipped into it )

Got to the Kate/Dot standoff ......

(Not very festive ...... )

Aragog · 25/12/2019 10:14

We also watched Not Going Out before going to bed.

Not sure what we will watch later today - definitely Gavin and Stacey and also Call the Midwife though.

Dd has taken over the tv to play Mario Kart on Wii this morning - my brother gave her his old one with loads of accessories and Santa brought the game. We did have a wii years ago and sold it but apparently the older teens now like playing them 🤷🏻‍♀️
