Same reason I’m calling Minty, Minty. Obviously I’m aware that isn’t his name but it’s the way I identify him in my head.

Haven’t you got that one friend who is ‘John Smith’ when all your other friends are just ‘John’. It’s funny how names/nicknames/surnames stick or otherwise in your brain. It’s best to go with the flow and not overthink though imo.

@AppleKatie I don't think anyone who knows me would accuse me of being an overthinker. 😂😂😂 It was just very obvious and I'm not sure why, they've been known as Caitlyn for 4 years now.

Anyway, more importantly, who do we think will have the first argument this year? I reckon James and someone else - he seems a pretty strong character, plus he'll be bloody starving.

I'm not sure, I think she might toughen up a bit I think she thinks she's got something to prove. Kate's squealing is already getting on my nerves.

Caitlyn Jenner hasn’t been known as anything to me for the last few years. I had to ask who she was last night. I’ve been no more than faintly aware of her.

Apparently Caitlyn underwent sex reassignment surgery in January 2017, but despite cutting bits off and putting implants in, she still doesn't pass as a woman for me. Very masculine figure with the broad shoulders and thin hips/legs. It'll be interesting to see whether she's allowed access to make up in the camp.

I hope Kate Garraway does ok on the BTT, because it'll get boring very quickly if she fails dismally and gets picked for every trial thereafter.

I think Andrew Whyment (Kirk from Corrie) is rumoured to be going in as one of the late contestants?

What are the normal camp rules about make up? Nil?

I'm sure many viewers wouldn't be aware who Myles or Adele were either. DH didn't know who Andrew or Jacqueline were. Not many of them are massively high profile this year are they.

I’m pretty sure they’re not allowed makeup. I seem to remember a hooha in a previous series where someone had smuggled in a chubby stick but was trying to say it was just lip balm.

Sex reassignment surgery can mean anything though. It doesn't necessarily mean they have lost their genitals. I've seen breast implants and facial feminization described as sex reassignment
I never watch this morning but it was on when I put the TV on. They are very much promoting CJ as the winner. CJ just seems arrogant to me

@Strawberrypancakes agree - and you have a professional strapped to you who does all the hard work. Once you're in position in the doorway of the helicopter you've done your bit, they do the rest!

It seemed a bit pointless putting yourself through the plank challenge if You couldn't do it quickly as it was obvious the others were faster so why bother.

I'm scared of heights too. There's no way I'd do the plank thing. It would be bad enough doing the skydive, but like people said, once you've left the plane it's not down to you.

I vaguely remember Adele in Big Brother with Jade. I didn't think she was ridiculously bad, she just got exasperated with her stupidity, and to be honest, if you'd locked me in a house with Jade for several weeks I'd have probably murdered her!

Joining the thread as I've just caught up. Keeping an open mind about Caitlyn. No strong feelings about any of them yet.

It took me a long time to realise that Adele on radio one was the Adele from BB. I do have memories of her not being very nice on it, but that was a long time ago. She must have been quite young.
