Watched this last night. Surprised I couldn't find a thread here on it. Anyone else seen it yet?

I found it surplus to requirements, yes.

Excessive messing around that didn't drive the story forward and too many flashbacks.

just watched it with dd. we both loved it. i think it was mainly doing fan service, of which we are both. if i wasn't such a huge bb fan i don't think i would have enjoyed it & have found it boring BUT....there were a lot of easter eggs that made us smile. one she spotted was the lydia & plemons in the snow globe! as a previous poster had said, it was more like a 'fly' episode rather than a film. it wasn't an action packed episode but more about jesse/closure.

one thing's for sure, i now really can't wait for a BCS new season. there is a lot of scope for Gene's character. he & jesse could have paths that cross, nebraska/alaska ...

I enjoyed it a lot. I quite like slow films. Every moment Todd was on screen was perfect.

SinkGirl · 12/10/2019 23:49

Plemons is amazing.

I enjoyed it too, I think I just expected more from it. But BCS is utterly genius so couldn’t expect it to be aa good I guess!

HappydaysArehere · 13/10/2019 08:32

Enjoyed it but disappointed that it wasn’t a series.

Samsamsuperman · 13/10/2019 08:35

I though it was the perfect epilogue. No twists or surprises, but had the charm and suspense of the best BB episodes and gave closure. It maybe wasn't completely needed but was totally welcome I think.

We watched it last night and both enjoyed it. Jesse Plemons and Aaron Paul were both amazing, the soundtrack was great, and it felt like a fitting ending to Jesse Pinkman’s story.
The only thing that bugged me was the flashback scene in the diner with Walt - it just felt like an unused scene they’d shot for BB that they just slotted in at the end. All the flashback scenes with Todd added something to the story I think and of course made you root for Jesse’s story to end happily.
Brilliant seeing Badger and Skinny Pete again too!

Climbingwindmill · 13/10/2019 08:54

I thought the diner scene was meant to be a dream rather than a flashback?

CupCupGoose · 13/10/2019 08:55

I really enjoyed it. I'm pleased with the ending as it was what I wanted for Jessie but at the same time you can't help but feel so sad for him.

The character of skinny Pete irritated me slightly as he was supposed to be pretty thick yet he came up with the clever car swop plan all by himself. Sorry but there's no way he would have thought of that.

Agree with pp who said about the scene with Walt feeling like an extra scene from bb that they just fitted in. I think Walt definitely needed to be in it but the scene didn't add to the story although it was nice to see Jessie back to his old self before everything really kicked off.

Robert Forster (vacuum cleaner fixer guy) died yesterday, hours after El Camino premiered

Oh that is so sad. I loved seeing him pop up in El Camino. Jackie Brown was on tv the other night and I just loved watching him in that role again.

I liked it! Not seen BCS but will definitely give it a watch now.

Haybo26 · 14/10/2019 11:25

I was really disappointed with it. It was so slow and quite boring really! Shame.

EleanorReally · 19/10/2019 18:48

planning to watch

Livingthecovidaloca · 15/07/2020 13:10

Two hours of my life I’ll never get back... had really high hopes for this.
Kept complaining to DH that if Todd had been a woman the director would have made sure they weren’t a couple of stone heavier than he was at the end of the series...
I’d have liked to see a flash forward to the future... maybe Jesse leaving work as a chemistry teacher to go home to his happy family home.
