Can I just say the beautiful park they filmed all the initial stuff in is not bloody Birmingham, it's Walsall Arboretum. They're our ducks, they're not Brummy ducks.

I reckon the "friend" fancies the groom and was trying to split them up.

Well, yeah, it's all staged to a certain extent, but the producers set this up on the back of an existing part of the show.

The bridesmaids were supposed to be there to try on the dresses, so it would be easy to say to her that they were filming in case the bridesmaids called to complain about the dresses.

Reality shows always start off looking for spontaneity, and follow up by trying to manufacture it - by picking contestants likely to start the right scenes, and by tweaking circumstances. But getting forced real reactions is a better gambit than trying to get good acting performances out of Joe Public.

If the friend hadn't said the Paris comment I don't know if they would have caught on it was all very awkward!
Didn't see much planning by the groom to be honest - no hen or stag dos etc
