Anyone watched it? So looking forward to this new series. Really enjoyed tonight.

Better than I expected

I really enjoyed it and was glad the standard was still as good.

I loved all the other series, but this one with the doc and Louise being married was ok in the Doc scenes, but frankly boring when they were playing Mr & Mrs at the dinner table.

They've lost the 'will they, won't they' interaction!

I like them being more content together though - hope it lasts!

Can somebody please tell me though (as it was never explained or I missed it) why the pharmacy woman is STILL in that neck thing ? I had assumed she had whiplash once but she is always in it.

I've watched from the first episodes, and don't recall any reference to it ever, but I could have missed it! I assume it's just part of the show's quirkiness, like the recurring scenes where the group of teenage girls pass him on the road and burst into loud giggles, but we never hear why! And the yapping dog following him home, and him yelling at it to go away! It's now part of the family, though.

No surprises - knew Mrs T would be in trouble etc but such a lavely programme.

My hairdresser went to where they film it and said where the gaggle of girls come from is a dead end (when they go past his house I mean).

Clawdy - there was an episode where he decided it was all in Mrs T's head. Then she took it off and was in pain and he diagnosed what she thought it was so she has to wear it again.

I always think the look on his face reminds me of when my brother looks at his kids when they annoy him! in no other way does he resemble Martin Clunes though!

Loved it when the woman from the GMC was put in her place by the patient admitting Doc Martin was a tosser but saying he was a good doctor!!!

Just caught up with episode tonight. Anyone else assume it would be the man who tumbled down the stairs? Nice to have a change of formula in the writing.

Oh I LOVE this, I don't think I've seen this one, is it brand new? I've been watching so many repeats of repeats on ITV3 and Gold I don't know which is which anymore !!!! what side is it on?

ITV weds at 9pm. yes this was the first episode of the new series. will be on the itv player.

Its genuninely the only programme both DH and I can watch together.

I live not far from Port Isaac and have hopes of being an extra one day. (I know lots of people who have been extras). But never try to visit there in the summer! (Also how come it is never raining?)

Thanks mogthe It's also the one of the proper drama type programmes that my quiz obsessed dm will watch with me and enjoy.

I couldn't work out how they actually got out of the boats and onto the island - the boats seemed to be anchored and bobbing about in the water, and there was no landing stage as such ...
