anyone else about to watch the Mike Leigh film

d'you reckon it is going to be too depressing

Recording it as on too late for poor old me (DH away so on my own with DD). But i love Mike Leigh films, and although they usually have a depressing theme with depressed people, there's usually some kind of uplifting dark comedy moments. And if you want to feel smug, you can always just be thankful that your life isn't that bad (hopefully!)

will ahve to record end, like you say, hope mylife isnt that bad

I love Mike Leigh films, but wanted to slit my wrists after this one! Too depressing, won't watch it again.

Yep, Secrets and Lies was great. I liked Naked best.

Looks too depressing for me. I watched Vera Drake on tv last year - beautifully made, but oh god, afterwards I just wanted to slit my wrists...

i did stay up to watch, it was depressing but the ending was fine.
