kellyw1989 · 16/09/2019 07:41

Yes got very confused

KellyMarieTunstall2 · 16/09/2019 13:08

I watched it for 30 mins, it was panto!

DeltaAlphaDelta · 16/09/2019 13:10

Acting was dire, plot was full of holes and I got to the end wondering what the hell happened! We binge watched it over the weekend, as DW enjoyed it, but I thought it was terrible! Was gutted as it sounded like a great story!

DarlingNikita · 16/09/2019 16:44

Oh, this is disappointing to hear! I watched the Norwegian one it was based on, Valkyrien, and it was pretty good. I really like Mark Strong so I was looking forward to this. Is it really not worth a watch?

sonsmum · 17/09/2019 13:29

Actually this was pretty good!!!!
You needed to pay attention to work out what was going on, as it did time slip at times, so not good if you are not paying attention!
The suspense was great - especially in the last episode.
It is vaguely humorous at times.
Yes it is a little far fetched....but it is ENTERTAINMENT!!!!
The acting was great, it tackled a moral dilemma and it was interesting!!! The main character is so calm!!!
It ended well, but i don't think we'll be expecting a series 2. There should not be one, no need!

DarlingNikita · 17/09/2019 14:12

Oh, maybe I'll watch it then!

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/09/2019 10:56

Ah. Don’t say it’s shit

On planner. Haven’t watched yet but reviews were meant to be good

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/09/2019 17:46

Just seen e1. I enjoyed

2 tonight

Davros · 21/09/2019 16:17

I've just started watching 10 mins ago. I love Mark String, I hope it isn't as shit as some say. Now I need to concentrate ...

Davros · 21/09/2019 18:40

Mark String!Blush I enjoyed the first episode although it's bizarre

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/09/2019 18:46

Looks like it’s just you and me @Davros

I enjoyed as well

MinesaPinot · 30/09/2019 14:05

We've given up. Whilst both DH and I like Mark Strong and Daniel Mays we just couldn't get on with this. It just wasn't engaging enough, although DH says he is going to look very closely that the doorway on Temple station when he goes home one night just to see if anyone is slipping in or out!

Grambler · 30/09/2019 14:20

I didnt realise some of it was in flashback. At all. I just thought it didn't make sense. Then even when I knew why it didn't make sense I'm not sure I cared.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/09/2019 15:18

I like it. But yes flashbacks to when wife was ‘alive’

I'm going to keep at it, I just need to remember to watch!

MrsPellegrinoPetrichor · 30/09/2019 16:58

Utter shite, we turned off after 15 mins!

aristocat · 12/10/2019 23:24

I thought it was great. Quite odd but good TV! Love both Mark Strong and Daniel Mays so definitely worth watching.

InvisibleWomenMustBeRead · 13/10/2019 17:03

I've just finished watching and came on to find a thread about it. Im actually not sure what I thought about it! I think overall I did enjoy it and found the moral dilemma interesting but not sure I'd bother to watch a 2nd series.

It has made me want to go on a tour of the London Underground tunnels and ghost stations - is that something that can be done?

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/10/2019 18:13

I’m Still watching weekly

stumbledin · 13/10/2019 19:19

I watched this partly because it showed a different sort of London and Londoners. Obviously ended hoping for a second series.

Trying to remember a crime series earlier this year when an unscrupulous cop put unfair pressure on a young man to act as a snitch. That was really great for showing a different sort of London/ers.

There are tours of some tube stations. The one I want to go on is the old postal underground line that used to run from Whitechapel to what used to be called Post Office but is now I think St Pauls. But I cant find it.

Link to one of the tours being offered:

InvisibleWomenMustBeRead · 13/10/2019 19:30

Thanks @stumbledin. Mark Strong was on This Morning last week (or maybe the week before) plugging the show and asking everyone to download it as they want a 2nd series, but it's not yet been commissioned. It was why i downloaded it in the first place as prior to that I'd not heard of it.

stumbledin · 13/10/2019 19:40

It was sort of bonkers, but I sometimes find the BBC1/ITV1 series a bit too limited in the type of people involved to find Temple and the one I cant remember a bit of a jolt to the system. Sky had another wierd one about a futuristic London post some sort of catastrophe and once a year city dwellers had the opportunity to escape to an island paradise by winning a mad car race. It had the most amazing cast of A list stars but never got a mention. I think it is this one www.sky.com/watch/title/series/dd27735e-350b-4a3b-9580-eaa8e630d207/curfew/episodes/season-1/episode-1

InvisibleWomenMustBeRead · 13/10/2019 19:46

I watched the first couple of episodes of that one because of the cast, but it was so weird and violent that I couldn't last more than 2 episodes.

Another Sky one with a great cast that I didn't see advertised but watched due to hype on social media (& which I did absolutely love!) was Brassic. Thought it was fantastic and hope they do a 2nd series of it.

stumbledin · 13/10/2019 19:53

Will look up Brassic.

Sorry to not talk about Temple, but another bonkers Sky series is Britannia. They are reshowing series 1 and series 2 is going to happen.

Romans in Britain through the eyes of someone on an acid trip who thinks the world of Lord of the Rings is real. Even the landscape isn't British! Again quite an A List cast.
