What an amazingly strong lady. Heart breaking and inspirational at the same time.

It was very sad . I cried.

DH out so watched it. Don't think he could have, as his Mum was exactly the same. Barbara, what a marvellous woman. I'm not sure I could go through that. She really deserves some happiness now.

DH and I both wept buckets. What an inspirational woman Barbara is. I thought that the entire family were very brave to allow the camera to be there when Malcolm was dying. I hope Barbara goes onto find more happiness too.

I would hope that, in the same situation, I could be as strong and devoted as Barbara. What a wonderful woman. I hope the politicians who fixed it so that she received so little support are thoroughly ashamed of themselves. God bless you, Barbara and I hope you find happiness in the future. xx

Idris - you must have done your PGCE where I did mine (I did secondary music). They were both tutors of mine. Malcolm did some great sessions on non-Western music in the store cupboard and I remember them both being in a staff band and singing Rudolf at a Christmas do.
I missed the programme as we've just come back from abroad but watched the first one in tears.
