Moira and Nate........absolute bloody joke, he hasn't a patch on Cain, Moira you're a fool.

Will Amy and Kerry be found out, fingers crossed they will.

Have we seen the last of dreary Debbie, hopefully so

Why haven't Diane and Vic gone to Cornwall, please go soon

Liv, Doug, Eric and surprisingly to me Bernice and Liam can stay

First I thought that Ryan might have asked for it to be murder/life sentence so he is isn't tempted to come back. Or the producers thought they couldn't put up with all the obsessive Robron fans asking "when is Robert coming back?"
However, maybe they left a loophole. It's weird that it was murder not manslaughter. Maybe if/when he ever decides to come back, Aaron can hire a new lawyer to say his previous lawyer didn't give the right advice, that it was handled incorrectly and the sentence is changed from murder to manslaughter. I don't know if it's possible but gives both Ryan and the producers that chance in the future.

Also, on a random aside has it ever been confirmed that the young, rich guy who was with Debbie died? Am still convinced he will be back one day.

JaneJeffer · 24/10/2019 20:56

Joe is still alive. Doubtful if he'll be back though I wish he would.

I think it would be easy to overturn Robert's conviction should Ryan decide to return. Also doubtful but I shall live in hope.

IWorkAtTheCheescakeFactory · 24/10/2019 20:57

No graham revealed Joe is still alive living in some far flung place incognito.

My observations/annoyances from tonight:

How did Moira and Nate get to hospital - no phone or transport and in a remote place, I felt like I’d missed one when it started

Would you really go for a drink in the local just after nearly drowning and your husband finding out about your affair with his long lost son?!

Agree Chas looked better than ever au naturel tonight!

Can’t even comment on Lee’s brother storyline!

I feel like they quickly killed Lee off to get Robert out...there was obvs more to Lee’s history of sex abuse so that could have come out and helped Victoria

knorrig · 24/10/2019 21:06

As for Kerry and Amy...do one! What about keeping a low profile after Tracey finding out you killed her dad!

KurriKawari · 24/10/2019 21:25

Thank you all.

Yes it all seems to have been tagged onto the Victoria rape storyline as an opportunity to give Robert a leaving storyline. Usually characters leave after they've cheated or they die - neither of which would have worked here. And unless Aaron wanted to leave too there wasn't going to be happy ending with them holding hands walking into the sunset.

JaneJeffer · 24/10/2019 21:31

Usually characters leave after they've cheated or they die I'm relieved they didn't go there and although the thought of Robert in prison is horrible it will shut up the Robert haters at least.

Yes to all this! I also thought I’d missed an episode. Strange.

Susiesoap7 · 24/10/2019 21:47

I think Moirai n Nate got to hospital by drone!
Moirai needed a drink after her trauma, so why not go to the woolie!
Cain is now footloose n fancy free, I have first claim!! Lol

JaneJeffer · 24/10/2019 21:50

Great to have the Woolpack back!

TellingBone · 24/10/2019 23:00

I can't get on with this Mandy storyline. She's had a personality transplant and the son is like a pantomime buffoon.

I've never liked Robron either. We're asked to feel all warm and fuzzy over a pair that both believe violence and/or criminal activity is the answer to every problem.

Cain and Moira - I don't know where they can go with this. Mean and moody Cain who hates the world was his original character before he got with her; do they just go back to that? How unsatisfactory.

Victoria. Really the writers should be thinking years ahead, and here's someone from the original Emmerdale Farm family that could potentially become a matriarch. Stop with the sensational storylines, then, and mature her character steadily.

Liv and Samson still the best actors in the show.

Jojoanna · 25/10/2019 07:47

I thought last night was ridiculous how would Cains long lost son come back and seduce his wife, Why couldn’t he come back and just find out the facts. It’s a contrived reason to break up cain and moira and now what. Cain goes around sleeping with whoever on a revenge fest while Moira is the outcast like some kind of Ryan’s daughter .

Sparklingbrook · 25/10/2019 08:33

There’s so many unanswered questions. Like how on earth Moira survived so long underwater for one.
The explosion on the boat was all for nothing really. What was the point? Everyone got out and went home.

Sparklingbrook · 25/10/2019 08:33

Well Nate’s in hospital but with what I am not sure.

JaneJeffer · 25/10/2019 11:53

They've done a right number on Shadrach. Not only is he a wife beater he's now a racist as well. I loved Shadrach and he showed none of those traits when he was in the programme. Angry

Jojoanna · 25/10/2019 12:29

I don’t understand it all ,, confused

LHMB · 25/10/2019 13:09

I'm confused, there seems to be some error, in the first episode Chas said something about right under his nose and he's lucky Cain didn't break his neck, then in the second ep in the pub she didn't seem to know what was going on and said why shouldn't Moira be there

IWorkAtTheCheescakeFactory · 25/10/2019 13:09

They’ve totally rewritten history to fit in this story.

IWorkAtTheCheescakeFactory · 25/10/2019 13:11

Thank you LHMB! I knew I hadn’t imagined that. I was wondering why was acting like she didn’t know last night.

JaneJeffer · 25/10/2019 13:13

Baby brain Grin

PrincessScarlett · 25/10/2019 13:22

When Luke said "I'm sorry" to Victoria I wonder whether he knows what Lee was like so knows he raped her. Maybe they will try and resolve the story that way with Lee's mum accepting he was a rapist and Victoria can have some closure instead of getting justice.

LHMB · 25/10/2019 13:22

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that 11IWorkAtTheCheescakeFactory. Thought I was going mad

Totally agree. I'm delighted this is the end for them, they had far too many stories and their characters were very unappealing. I bet Danny Miller was gutted when he found out Ryan didn't want his contract renewed - what are they going to do with his character now? Probably turn to crime again resulting in more tedious scenes of Aaron crying of how hard done by he is.

JaneJeffer · 25/10/2019 13:23

It doesn't say much for Luke if he knew and did nothing about it though.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 25/10/2019 13:28

I tried googling last night but I still couldnt understand- so please help.
Who is Cains dad? - is it different to Chas' dad?
