13 Reason Why season 3

Has anyone watched any of it yet?
I saw the trailer while DC2 was napping this afternoon and I’m debating whether to give it a watch once DCs are in bed later.
I’ve watched the first 2 seasons, and while I know it’s not meant to be “enjoyable” due to the subject matter, the infamous “broomstick scene” at the end of season 2 is one of the very few TV moments that has genuinely shaken me and made me feel physically sick Sad
Any nasty surprises like that I should be aware of before I commit??

I finished it last night. Mixed feelings about it but I think what they did with Bryce’s character was very clever. Justin has always been my favourite one in the series and I really like how this series portrayed him. I’m going to find something happier to watch now!

I’ve got the last 10 mins of the penultimate episode to watch, and then the final episode.
I’m a sucker for Justin as well @Direwolfwrangler! I absolutely loved it last season when Clay’s mum and dad took him in - I may have had a few tears because he finally had a proper family Blush

Just finishing episode 13 now.
Call me heartless or whatever, but I do feel a weird sense of satisfaction over Monty’s ending. He’s literally the worst kind of person.

Although you’re right, no one comes out of it smelling of roses Confused

I came on the thread to say I also thought Ani is super annoying. Literally been in the school for 2 months and she's acting like she knows everything. On episode 6 now.

I had to go back and watch seasons 1 and 2 after this (and my heart broke all over again, for Hannah and Clay). S3 paled in comparison for me personally.

If there is a season 4, I hope Ani gets set up for Monty's end, and we can be done with her.

I can't understand what else there is to say in season 4. Sure, nobody was honest about what happened with Bryce, and some of the characters are dealing with addiction... but it's not enough to hang a whole on it.

We finished the season last night. To begin with I didn't like it. But it got better as the season went on. Although Ani is unbearable. She actually had nothing to do with anything really except shagging Bryce. We guessed who did it just before because there was very little said about the person. Monty was just awful, but it does show how the cycle of abuse works. Abused by his father, he became an abuser. It's all very harrowing really. Not sure what season 4 could possibly have to give.

Justin is my favourite too sometimes I think he is the only likeable character other then Clay and Tyler! Ani was mega annoying. Don't know why she had to be the narrator surely Jessica would be the better option.

Been thinking about this but WHY did they put Justin and Jessica back together?? He let Bryce rape her and is a heroin addict. Surely, her standards would be a bit higher or am I missing something?

Obviously this entire season was to manipulate viewers and make them think serial rapists and socipaths can change in 6 months and become Jesus Christ the do gooder. I'm so angry at this season and the way they've portrayed rape victims as angry, unreasonable crazies while the addicts/wannabe school shooters/rapists/killers get justifed and glorified.

Tbh they should have stopped after the first season. It didn't really need a second series and definitely not a third! And now I hear they are making a fourthShock obviously I will watch though even though it's consecutively got worse😂

Finally finished the series! Been trying to avoid reading this thread until now in case there were any spoilers! Anyway for the first time I think ever I had guessed who the killer was and I'm so pleased with myself Grin wasn't sure, but had a strong suspicion early on in the series simply due to the character's odd behaviour and what I already knew of them.

It took a while to get into this series but I was very attached towards the end. Ani was a bit annoying, acting like a police detective and expecting everyone to tell her their truths - and getting angry if they lied to her!

I seem to be alone in that I actually liked the character of Ani. She managed to know everything, just by being in the background a lot, and I liked that.

I thought this was the strongest of the 3 seasons.

I was very disturbed by Hannah's suicide in S1, and the sexual attack in S2. I didn't think for one second that something would be shown so graphically in what is essentially a show for teens (though we can obviously watch, too). But this season was better I thought, and I did enjoy it.
