Blimey.
There’s single mums and single mums. Beautiful house but there’s the climate change problem in one house...so much stuff.

From something she said at the start I think they were accustomed to a far higher standard of living once and she is still clinging on to it. I thought it was really quite sad, the idea that stuff can bring you happiness and security instead of debt and anxiety.

I found this quite disturbing in that the mum said daughter relentlessly bullied and taunted with "single mum", "you're poor" etc. Now here they are on tv letting it all hang out trying to save money. I feel this probably won't improve matters for her? Or will having been on tv give her more status?

We said the same about the bullying, won't it make it worse?Confused

The people seem to get stupider by the week on that show, I don't know why I continue to watch it!

I am fascinated by how much money people just throw away on surplus stuff, the sheer quantity of unused tat, ridiculous labels, bags, shoes etc. It makes me feel slightly panicky and claustrophobic. Unbearable.
