ah sorry minty I had no expectations and binged it in one go, maybe that made a difference (and sleep deprivation!), apart from Tokyo having no redeeming features and annoying the hell out of me, I enjoyed it - it made me nostalgic I guess. Am now going to watch Killing Eve last episode - again, many have found it lacking compared with first series but I have loved it.

Just found some of it a bit too far fetched y'know? I still love it though

I keep seeing posts on FB that I think you would like (eg Pedro Alonso looking quite dapper) but I can't get Copy Link to work on the FB app, will save the posts then try to copy them on the browser instead.

After having written that, I've just watched the last episode and loved it! Can't really say much about it in case of spoilers for anyone who opens this thread and hasn't watched the lot yet, but I thoroughly enjoyed the last one.

Oh wow. Speech by Nairobi about love at the end of episode 5. Very moving. Really enjoying it. Wasn’t bothered after episode 1 but it’s shaping up nicely.

Love this series a lot.

My Spanish is fairly fluent but I struggle with some of the fast dialogue so watch it in Spanish but with subtitles in Spanish too. The new Bogota character is really, really hard to understand.

Didn't think the third series was nearly as good as the first two, the opening was excellent with Tokio being chased but after that... not so good. Nice to see the flashbacks with Berlin though.

OH and DH was delighted that they used "You'll Never Walk Alone".

Last comment - Spanish TV is funny in that the same people keep popping up in everything. The actress who played Alicia was also Zulema in Locked Up and she was much better in that, tbh. Nairobi was in Locked Upt oo. Pedro Alonso plays the evil villain in Grand Hotel and is very dastardly and evil.

Can also highly recommend Mar de Plastico - a murder mystery thing set in Southern Spain which is very good.

Oh yes, it’s like Spain only has a handful of actors. I am old enough to remember the days when Victoria Abril and Carmen Maura were in everything. Rio and Denver are both in Elite and I have enjoyed Chino Darin getting in a few Netflix appearances - he’s from Argentina, real life boyfriend of Tokyo and very easy on the eye. Try Historia de un Clan for more of him! The other lovely Argentine is Palermo but seems to have aged badly - was previously in Motorcycle Diaries with equally lovely Gael Garcia Bernal. Sigh.
