@Itswinetime where did you find series 1 episodes? I had a good hunt prior to the start of this series, and couldn't find full episodes.

Btw I've been lurking on the previous love island threads. However, I haven't commented previously, as everyone has already summed up my feelings about everything whenever I check the threads!

Yes, my comment was 'broad', not that she's thick - my comments on the thread should vouch for the fact that I'm supporting her! And yes, I have a similar accent! English people probably like her accent though.

I think Jonette, like myself, is from the same hometown as Maura. Longfor has a terrible accent, really flat and no ending to most words. I know I neutralised mine once I heard myself speaking out loud at about 17. I do like to hear it on British TV as it's not an accent you hear on it often. Yewande has a Dublin accent, not a posh one but a normal one which is more commonly heard on UK TV. Maura doesn't give a shit though and she is going to cause mayhem. It was so funny watching her play Tommy like a fiddle. You can tell she has been on the scene a long time and has survived on her wits. I'm really liking her. She is going to bring out everybody's negative side and make them look as bad or even worse than her. When do the public get involved in the voting? I'm sure many will find her too much.

I liked Maura, she'll shake things up a bit. And eat Tommy for breakfast, I don't think he's going to know what hit him.

I really liked Elma, I thought she was really sweet and would love it if Anton picked her.

I couldn’t imagine fancying someone 20 when I was 28 (Maura and Tommy). Seems a bit weird to me but what do I know...! Tommy seems like he’s not long left high school, he doesn’t seem very grown up. But I guess if Maura only wants to shag him then maybe that’s all she cares about!

I suspect British people won't get the nuance that we get about her accent - similarly - I had to 'refine' my accent when I came here as nobody could understand a word I was saying!

Maura was out before alright! She's a proper player lol. It depends on how badly the others come across in response to her antics as to whether she becomes popular with the public I think.

Btw Audrina - what's the low down on Maura - my DM was saying she thinks she's from Ballymahon direction and that the whole country is engrossed (Apologies to other posters - but being Irish - we want to know what sort of stock she comes from - who she's related to etc. Once we know that much, then we can figure out whether we like her or not ). Was she living in Ireland prior to going in? If she's a ring girl, I very much doubt she's still in Longford - I imagine most of that line of work would be in Dublin/London.

Also in the last few years girls in say their late twenties early thirties are much more open to dating younger guys.

I totally love Maura and Anton now! I hope Anton picks Elma, Anna was annoying this episode. I think there was chemistry with Anton and Elma. Maura is a legend.

Re older girls dating younger men, I met my now DH when I was 30 and he was 22! We've been married 17 years now and have two teenage children.

Actually thought MM was decent to Maura and really friendly which makes a refreshing change, sisterhood and all that (sure it’ll change).

Thinking about my earlier comment about ages... dh was 22 when I met him and I was 30 I was also divorced with one child and he was living on his mums sofa having moved back from university.... we’ve been together 10 years now. So my comment was a bit unreasonable wasn’t it

I agree re Tommy's age. The only time I was ever interested in someone aged 20 was when I was 16... I agree she's playing the long game. Which I think they are probably all trying to do tbh.

@Pushing30 it's not in any of the main platforms even to buy which is a bit odd but my brother installed an app on my fire stick to let you watch tv as it is out in America and it's on there.
