Watched first episode of new series. Faster paced and funnier. Great stuff!!!!

I started watching the BBC recorded episodes yesterday and got to 3 and realised that the rest hadn't recorded, so had to download the rest of the series, but I'm only up to 5 I think! All a bit of a blur when you binge watch. Had to do something to keep me out of the dreadful 32 degrees yesterday! My flat is like a fridge
Probably missed why, but It seems odd that the series was released on I-player before the ending of the proper broadcast

The scene in the brothel in Amsterdam with her wearing the piggy outfit was awful, but comical in a strange way.

I’m a bit disappointed in season 2 so far. Season 1 I found to be engaging and exciting.

But for me, this season has descended into something of a pantomime, and I find it hard to see how the story, focussing on Eve and Villanelle and will they won’t they meet again, will be able to maintain any sense of tension or excitement.

It seems it is going the same way as many other drama series’ that have a cracking season 1 - a mediocre, in places simply ludicrous, season 2.

And don’t get me started on the pig outfit and the brothel murder scene - sorry, but I just found it quite ridiculous!

I’m not overly impressed, we get it that she’s a vicious amoral killer, it’s all a bit predictable. Can’t really believe the folk that didn’t see the death of Gabriel, i was waiting for it!! The background story is a bit meandering too.

That was the last one I saw until last night (the one repeated fro Saturday). What did I miss (haven't got catch up).

Was there another killer - the woman who was watching when Eve appared in the piggy mask I mean was it her? What happend next?

So why has Villanelle killed Gemma? that was unnecessarily nasty as I've been sorry for Gemma as it is - and V doesn't normally kill without a purpose when she's not paid.
Don't get it, if Eve's husband had an affair (without being in 'love' with Gemma even) - that would be enough to finish ofdf his marriage to Eve. You'd think it's the easiest way to get rid of him. He wouldn't get framed either after hetting a blow on his head!
Otherwise this was one of the best episodes imo.

I think she thought Nikko might get together with Gemma, and that would upset Eve, so she killed her to 'prevent' it happening and 'protect' Eve.

Darling - she advised Gemma on how to flirt/get Eve's husband at the school party. She's be thrilled to get rid of him as se doesn't like 'sharing' Eve - but without upsetting Eve which is tricky. That's why she asked him iof he loved Gemma and said she;d left them go if he said 'yes'.
I sort of get it that her preferred option would be for him to love someone else and leave Eve, but surely an afffair would be enough in terns of ending the marriage!

Good point – I'd forgotten that! Maybe she is, in her way, romantic/idealistic and is only happy for Nikko to leave Eve for someone he loves?

The woman watching the killing in Amsterdam is the victim's wife (I think).
Can anyone tell me what Geraldine James was doing in the supermarket in episode 2?

Darling - annoying as she;s normally more clear-cut.
Gone if it was the wife, that's was mild reaction to say the least! i couldn't watch that yuk!
Or could be a mysterious V's relative as Konstantin mentioned that not all her family is dead - there's been a lot of specualtion on that in media. Though as V was weariong a mask, even for a relative a challenge t recognise her.

I thought it was the wife. Presumably she paid handsomely for Villanelle’s services and wanted to see it was done properly! Plus the vindication of her cheating H getting his just deserts.
