What the fuck is this shitshow of cruelty??

Why are these assholes doing this to a 3 year old child? Shock

How can anyone think it was a good idea to put these 3 people together in a house for 7 days?

Also Cyren is a ballbag.

in a complimentary way. I didn’t post one and only one post that was entirely about how awful I thought they looked with zero commentary on the content of the show.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 24/04/2019 22:38

Literally your only post on the thread was to criticise their appearances.

CantDoThisAnymore1 · 24/04/2019 22:40

Does beautiful solely refer to appearance?

I thought Meagan came across as being a lovely person, mature beyond her years.

Laura is much more fragile and clearly in pain perhaps due to having been abused by the bellend of a father to her child but she is vulnerable and there were flashes of the strong woman she has inside her.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 24/04/2019 22:43

They both came across as nice people. I’d love to know what spell he put on them both to make them think he was a catch.

I'm a family lawyer and watched the first 15 minutes or so - have recorded the rest. This is completely unethical, exposing the child to this situation, so I am going to write and complain. Completely wrong and confusing for the child to go about trying to rebuild a relationship with a parent in this way, and to expose him to such tension and abusive behaviour for the sake of a low budget TV show, not child focussed at all as it was all about adult relationships which is completely the wrong way to go about it.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 24/04/2019 23:14

Totally agree bugga

That child should not have been present for any of that. The adults should have had all their discussions and negotiations away from him and decided on the “contract” or expectations ahead of introducing the child to it.

OP - you're practically salivating over the wreckage of someone's life! I came across this programme whilst channel hopping, saw a few minutes then carried on hopping as it was shit. However, I saw enough to realise you're being patronising by describing either woman as "beautiful" - they weren't.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 24/04/2019 23:56

Salivating? Confused you’ve read my posts right? I’m horrified by it. I can’t believe anyone thought this was a good way to reinstate contact between a separated family.

If you thought i was being patronising why wasn’t that what you said instead of attacking their appearance?

FWIW I certainly do think they are beautiful. It’s an opinion, it’s not necessary to agree, many won’t. Beauty is in the eye and all that. Your disagreement doesn’t make me patronising.

What the fuck is this shitshow of cruelty?

Why did you carry on watching this programme then?

The women looked dreadful. The chap with the tattoos looked worse.

purpleme12 · 25/04/2019 00:16

Mslucy I'm not sure what your problem is. You just seem to be posting to criticise the appearance of people so perhaps best to not post at all rather than criticise

CantDoThisAnymore1 · 25/04/2019 00:35

Why is the ages of the women made known but not the man?

We know Laura is 33 and Meaghan is 19 but Cyran’s age isn’t revealed.

Sagradafamiliar · 25/04/2019 07:17

Oh I had to switch off. Why those two women (mainly Laura)!put themselves through it to accommodate that abuser/shit father's ego massage I'll never know. For the child's sake? Misguided if so.

InTheHeatofLisbon · 25/04/2019 07:23

I haven't seen it, but I saw an advert for it a few days ago and was absolutely horrified.

This is a child's life, why are Channel 5 setting up such a horrible, salacious and damaging situation? Asking a woman who has escaped abuse to live with her abuser and his new target? And putting a bairn in the middle? Ugh ugh ugh.

It normalises this shit, it makes it seem like it's just something that happens and it's to be tolerated.

It's not fucking normal, it certainly isn't to be tolerated and if they were to focus on anything it should be the profound and lifelong pain the child is at risk of unless his Mum sticks to her guns and keeps this rat out of their lives.

But no, they'd rather titillate people who want to watch domestic abuse in action, tied up in a little bow.

InTheHeatofLisbon · 25/04/2019 07:24

Also, comments slating the appearance of the women are snide. Dress it up however you like, it was unecessary and spiteful.

ooooohbetty · 25/04/2019 08:36

I couldn't watch it all because of the little boy. I got the impression they all just wanted to be on TV. Horrible show. I didn't like any of them.

SpamChaudFroid · 25/04/2019 08:51

Horrible - the producers were just setting up a situation to see two women fighting over a man. Father not paying CM, surprise surprise.

ChristineBaskets · 25/04/2019 09:35

I had to turn it off too, it was just horrible to see that little boy in that situation. What a vile man.

Channel 5 have form for this kind of thing. Does anyone remember this man who they showed being emotionally abusive on One Night With My Ex without comment from the program makers? There should have been a link to a helpline or someone should have stepped in. They should not be normalising abusive relationships.

I turned off after half an hour. It really saddens me that British TV has come to this, watching the break up of a family unit and seeing a young child’s life in pieces. That is not entertainment. Shame on Channel 5, I hope this gets shelved.

Sagradafamiliar · 25/04/2019 10:56

Yes I remember that Christine, shocking. Amy put a statement on IG defending him afterwards :(

IamPickleRick · 25/04/2019 11:03

I’ve complained.

Channel 5 are not only abusing this family further by putting vulnerable people in to this situation (presumably the family consented for financial reasons) but they are exploiting a child in the process.

purpleme12 · 25/04/2019 12:06

Do they get paid for these shows?

Maybe that was why the people on the first one last year went on it if they do

purpleme12 · 25/04/2019 12:07

As well as presumably wanting to be on Tele (surely that's the kind of people who are normally on this kind of programme anyway)

Lllot5 · 25/04/2019 12:14

I’ve complained to Ofcom. I didn’t watch it all I had to turn off too distressing. But what I did see was exploitative salacious and unnecessary.
Poor little boy.
