Did anyone look at the webcams when it was on? In particular the woods and the 2nd cam in Peg O'Nells room?

Very creepy. Did anyone see anything in Peg's room at all?

I live in Peg o'Nell's town...my DDs used to scare themselves in the school playground by convincing themselves that she lived in the bush in the corner...

Missed the prog - we were away - but there was a report in the local paper today about the webcams - here .

OUCH deeply hurt by comments! Believing in the paranormal for me is almost a religion! I understand people thinking MH is fake and sceptics are fake too but you have to take into account peoples feelings! Im off to see derek on wed and am so excited about it! Im not gullible and can make my mind up about things and dont get pulled into the hype but MH has been on air now for 4 years i think and if it was fake and all made up then they would have been showed up by now! MH invite members of public, believers and non believers and alos press along to investiations, how can everything that happens be fake! Just cos some things are inexplainable does not mean they are fake.
Sorry for rant but am fed up of septics (OOOPS MEAN SCEPTICS) completely writing off programmes as fakes when they probably dont understand things. I believe in paranormal and ghosts and other non scientific reasons for things but im not a complete believer in god.

Oh Bonkerz, I am so not a sceptic, but I'm sorry I really think Derek Acorah is a fake. i have seen some really good psychics, but as a regular listener to derek on James Whales show , he regularly and consistantly gets things wrong. Far too much IMHO, I also thing he is far too vague when he does get things right. I am very spiritual, and have had many experiences, I just believe that Derek is a showman, and a bit of a con artist, sorry! IMO you should go and see someone else!! xxxxxxxxxx

I miss it so much! I agree that Derek is total nonsense though, but I do like his kindly manner and his sparkly earring. At least the style department has had a word with him and he doesn't wear those flecked sports jackets anymore with his pack of Embassy sticking out of the top pocket.

When the good stuff happens and you think that it's proof of the paranormal, why is it not on the front page of all the newspapers as it would be a pretty big scoop.

This is a very good website which offers a million dollars for anyone who can prove the existance of the paranormal in laboratory conditions here

I saw derek live at Sunderland and was blown away by some of the stuff he said. He even got one woman's full name which was very unusual, she was totally gobsmacked. He gave quite a few people messages and only one that I can remember wasn't that clear.
I think unless you've had clear proof then you're not going to believe.
I was watching a dvd last night (series 1) and the annoying sceptic who used to be on (they're not all annoying though ) was blown away by some of the stuff he saw. It was the Drury lane episode where they saw the dancing legs.

have heard alot of gr8 things about live shows from derek so am excited about tomorrow nite!! I agree, alot of the time NO SCIENTIFIC reason can be found for noises and visuals this doesnt mean they are paranormal but its still very impressive and should not be just turned away as fake and rubbish! OPEN YOUR MINDS PEOPLE AND TRY TO BELIEVE A LITTLE.

am off to nottingham to see derek tomorrow! went to see colin fry a few weeks ago in birmingham! colin had people in tears with things he said!
I think its sad that people dont believe in an afterlife and that their loved ones are still aorund them after death and can talk to them if they allow it!

think psychics like derek and colin get alot of grief and would have given up a long time ago if were fake!

Maybe people need proof though before they can believe? Have you had any experiences bonkerz?

Answered a news add some years ago for a part time job. It turned out that it was scouring local bereavement columns, etc, etc for info to pass on to a well known so-called Psychic, who did locally based shows (some televised). The information was passed onto another team who matched up names, etc to those who had tickets - then wittled it down to a manageable level and passed it onto the 'Psychic' who learned the stuff that he was supposed to pick-up in front of the audience. Thus he had a list of names, relatives, dates and times, causes of death, (including what he gleaned from comments made by bereaved friends and relatives that gave some indication of what their relationships were like before the person died. Very well paid job for the work involved - but al the same, still a con, playing on peoples minds.
Watched one of the Derek and Yvette thingy once out of curiosity and then found all the supposed 'new' information that he was spouting on the internet dated over the past few years.
I wouldn't call myself a sceptic. I am a wiccan, I have met a couple of people who I would swear were the real thing when it comes to psychics and I do beleive in ghosts. What I don't believe in is this malevolent s**t that is put together as cheap, brain rotting TV fodder.

Derek Acorah is a showman, no more. I have seen him and I was unimpressed.

Psychics use 'shills' in the audience queue to ear-wig on conversations which they then pass on to the 'medium'.

Read this account of an actress who learnt to be a medium in a week, just by reading up on technique.

She reduced some people to tears because she was so 'good'.

COmpared to a lot of other TV 'psychics' that I've seen over the years Derek Acorah is actualy not even that good at 'faking-it.'

i believe in all things supernatural but i really cant say i believe in derek totally! one instance (dont ask me the episode) derek was apparently "possessed"? by the spirit of a man who hated women and did "awful things" to them, whilst doing a seance, derek started arguing with yvette. yet he lunged at a male member of the crew minutes later. now forgive me here but if this was so true then it would have been yvette he lunged at? then there was the time he was a pilot and a member of the crew asked him how much fuel it took to fly his plane...he replied "dont insult me"...hmmmm....

i still watch it though and my ds loves it!

ps...why was one camera guy called rick fielding? was he a relation?

I love Most Haunted. It is just like listening to spooky stories around a campfire, I don't believe in it all, but appreciate the way that your mind works to fill in the gaps!
I scare myself something silly!
I would never sit in a dark cellar with a video camera, but not because I really believe in ghosts, but because my mind would convince me that something scary would jump out and say BOO!
I love the sceptics that come on the programme. My favourite was that Matthew bloke. It is much more fun to see the sceptic jump and scream like a girl IMO!
FYI there is no need for reflective contact lenses...This is the effect of the nightvision function on the camcorder on your retina.
We taped DD babbling in her cot one night using this function and she looked like a baby possessed!

WigandRobe, but spirits never ever say anything worthwhile. You'd think that they'd compose a message that was useful, wouldn't you....something more than 'you will be travelling over water soon' or 'something surprising will happen to you soon' or 'your Uncle Ted knows you are thinking of buying something for your house.' Come on....everyone is thinking all the time of buying something for their house!

One couple were asked by Derek if they had anything to do with America. The answer came back that someone in their family was thinking about going to Florida for a holiday. Derek took that as an on-the-button hit. I just thought 'rubbish!'
