This is being pushed as the new Fleabag. Hard to like Miri so far. Who has she murdered?

Agree this annoyed me so much. How on earth did she get 18 years for pushing someone over in self defence - did she even have a legal team? Would her well off middle class parents not have made sure she got manslaughter at least. All those years behind bars and no one helped her appeal? Surely the bite mark would be evidence?

Why would the town be so angry at her release? Small seaside towns have their fair share of crimes and they said the dead girl 's family had all moved away.

What was the point of fish and chip man? And neighbour not the nice guy they are making him out to be as he was coming on to Miri with his wife still alive. If he was lonely he could have made friends with Miri 's Dad. The affair between the Mum and ex boyf was gross and unecessary. Why didn't Dad tell Mum he had chlamydia?

Miri was way too cool and well adjusted for someone who spent 18 years inside. No addictions, no mental health issues. Breezed straight back into society with no fears or lack of confidence. No way.

Wish they had just gone the whole hog and made her a murderer who regretted her crime and was rehabilitated or an innocent victim who was falsely accused (which is the way I thought they would go). This half assed did kill her but didn't really was a total cop out to make you still like her. It could have been so much better. I only kept watching it as I wanted to see Dungeness.
