Apologies if there is a there is a thread but I looked and couldn't see one.
I missed the show last week as I was at the GN. Recorded it. Thought the GB was OK but not all the raving...
Looking forward to seeing Susan Boyle tonight... ♥

these boys aren't good.
The drummer seems.good but the singing is awful

Elderflower14 · 11/05/2019 21:11

LizzieMacQueen · 11/05/2019 21:12

Well called. Golden buzzer indeed.

Littlebird88 · 11/05/2019 21:13

is Amanda friends with one of these boys parents ! csnt think why else she would d do that.

AtSea1979 · 11/05/2019 21:13

Brilliant couple dancing, great magician and they press the golden buzzer for this tosh Angry

Piggywaspushed · 11/05/2019 21:15

They might need to change their name. Chapter Thirteen is the name of an album by a Dutch Death Metal band called Gorefest...Grin

OldUnit · 11/05/2019 21:16

Massively underwhelmed by tonight's offerings I must say 🤔

Cottonwoolmouth · 11/05/2019 22:23

Such a tough crowd on here!

I’m watching on catch up.

The suffragette thing - I’ve seen better dancing but I like the nod to feminism. If one child asks wtf was that about I’m happy with that.

My grandad used to sing like that to me - bless him

Cuban dancers - I’ve seen loads whist in Cuba, the acrobatics there are very good.

CoolShoeshine · 11/05/2019 22:55

Well I liked the lads band - nice to hear a young group playing something a bit different from the usual. There have been much worse golden buzzer acts this series.

GunpowderGelatine · 12/05/2019 00:15

Apparently that band are managed by McFly's Tom Fletcher and have been in School of Rock. Wasn't son of TIAH last year in that?

Piggywaspushed · 12/05/2019 07:37

I'm not sure : he might have been. The boys did say at the beginning that they were in School of Rock, and that's why I don't think the idea that the music in 'unusual' for young lads holds water. It's what they do in SoR and it felt =to me- like the boys were playing music that meant nothing to them and jd just going through the motions, really.

FannyFeatures · 12/05/2019 08:24

It was the music that didn't work for me with the young lads.

The instrumentals were good, but could be improved. Parts of it sounded like they forgot they were playing together and were trying to drown each other out which made out hard to pick out a particular rhythm.

I've yet to hear a child singer that I like tbh, screechy little voices are like nails down a black board for me. I don't get the cuteness, even at my kids school plays I paint on a smile and inwardly cringe/flinch Blush

slalomsuki · 12/05/2019 08:48

Just to defend the boys group as DS is friends with one of them, they are not professionals nor do they go to stage school. The one we know goes to a normal school and was in The West End show travelling backwards and forwards when required and is a nice lad and genuinely sings and plays instruments. He hadn't let on to anyone they had got through in the way they did. It's not my sort of thing but good luck I say.

Piggywaspushed · 12/05/2019 08:55

To be honest, I only know what they were singing now I have read a Metro article about them, though. I may not 100% have been paying attention but that doesn't suggest a memorable enough performance for a Golden Buzzer.
I do like that they play their own instruments : that is refreshing (ish) but all the GB acts this year feel set up. Much more so that I ever recall.

He's not the best pole dancer.

NicoAndTheNiners · 18/05/2019 20:13

I love a good cathedral choir.

NicoAndTheNiners · 18/05/2019 20:16

Alyesha is going to end up with one ear lobe bigger than the other if she keeps wearing that massive triangle on the same side all the time.

NicoAndTheNiners · 18/05/2019 20:25

Isn't this done by how he words the question?

FFSeverynameisused · 18/05/2019 20:38

that was boring

Sup3rCooper · 18/05/2019 20:47

How did he do the second bit though? With Simon and Amanda? Trying to work that out
