Apologies if there is a there is a thread but I looked and couldn't see one.
I missed the show last week as I was at the GN. Recorded it. Thought the GB was OK but not all the raving...
Looking forward to seeing Susan Boyle tonight... ♥

See, I'm usually a big sap and I have cried at BGT in the past, but that just left me cold.

Petalflowers · 20/04/2019 21:12

Just noticed Alisha has one large earring as well. Why?

The singer got better as the song went on. Quite enjoyed it.

SnapesGreasyHair · 20/04/2019 21:13

Not keen on him. He is doing the wo'est me act, looking emotional etc.... have heard better

Piggywaspushed · 20/04/2019 21:13

Still... no father and son acts yet. On the bright side.

ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs · 20/04/2019 21:14

Glad it's not just me being a hard ass! Bit too full on...

iwannalendyoumycoat · 20/04/2019 21:16

I’m just waiting for a budgie act so one can perch on alesha’s earring

Piggywaspushed · 20/04/2019 21:16

Anyone seen Little Miss Sunshine? The Indian lad's dance routine reminded me a bit of the end. Except not as good.

The80sweregreat · 20/04/2019 21:16

I loved Andrew strong in the commitments film. His voice was great.

ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs · 20/04/2019 21:17

I loved Little Miss sunshine!! She was much better than that kid!

The80sweregreat · 20/04/2019 21:17

Piggy, little miss sunshine is a fab film!
I'm a Toni Collette fan and can watch her in anything. Muriel's wedding is another fav.
She is great.

Ratatouille76 · 20/04/2019 21:18

Was the fat kid not the last act?

Piggywaspushed · 20/04/2019 21:18

It's a great film!

The80sweregreat · 20/04/2019 21:20

It is piggy, So funny.

Petalflowers · 20/04/2019 21:23

Rat - no, an ex-west end performer sang, complete with long preamble.

SnapesGreasyHair · 20/04/2019 21:24

Anyone watching ITV2?

ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs · 20/04/2019 21:26

Little Miss sunshine always makes me feel happy ☺. A real feel good movie! I love when all the family get up and dance with her

The80sweregreat · 20/04/2019 21:31

I could watch little miss sunshine and Muriel's wedding once a month on a loop for a day and be so happy.
I don't feel this for many films. I'm not a film person usually either!

Ratatouille76 · 20/04/2019 21:31

Aah ok. Did I miss anything?

Piggywaspushed · 20/04/2019 21:35

I haven't seen Muriel's Wedding for years but I teach LMS for GCSE so keeps me happy. The kids love it, too.

Petalflowers · 20/04/2019 21:42

Rat - can honestly say you didn’t miss anything tonight. It was a shocking show tonight.

Whatever happened to The Big Easter Movie?

Petalflowers · 20/04/2019 22:19

golden buzzer act

Just saw this flash up on Facebook.

Apparently Golden buzzer act is not the inspiring kid who dances, but has already been on IndianGot Talent and an Australian show. A seasoned talent reality show performer.

lljkk · 20/04/2019 22:52

I started watching BGT when Susan Boyle was a sensation. Barely seen it since.
But OMG... tonite. Was it always so schmaltzy?
I can handle the terrible acts; I admire anyone willing to take that public criticism.
It's when mediocre acts get gushed over that I despair.
Watched it while DS2 made non-stop silly manic comments, DS1 tantrummed while baking a cake & DD struggled with easy algebra. Plus cats nagged.

Tonight's BGT made all those look like pleasant distractions. Confused

Piggywaspushed · 21/04/2019 08:43

I'm not surprised petal. All the Golden Buzzer acts so far have done something else. I reckon the judges are picking acts they know about. It was obvious the boy had stage presence.
BGT is shite so far this series :that they have to draft in golden buuzzer acts speaks volumes!

Aldicheckoutworkout · 21/04/2019 19:21

I know that it makes good tv to have a few crap novelty acts.....but I'm thinking there are probably a load of really talented people that didnt get a look in and had to sit and watch really mediocre people get fawned over.

Piggywaspushed · 27/04/2019 20:03

Anyone here this evening??

Anyone else had to endure Amanda's raucous voice at the checkouts at M and S??
