I was wondering about that, told - my mum is a thyroid nightmare and I've never known her to fast for a test

I've never fasted for a thyroid test, I have it before my medication though as apparently it gives a truer result ?
Maybe they are testing for multiple things though and thyroid is just one ? but only one phial of blood. (They really need us lot on board don't they?)

Why was Al taking bloods, do they not have a phlebotomist?

We don't have anyone to take blood at our GP, I have to go the the hospital or the pharmacy near work do it.

Oh bugger it blame I went for my thyroid blood test last week and forgot about not taking the tablets beforehand. I'd heard it can skew the results. Typical! I feel so run down and that part of the blood result will show as normal now I expect.
