Should I know the chap in the Rice Krispies ad?

On the current rice Krispies ad, there is this dad giving his dd's rice krispies. At the end he says 'did I tell you I was in a band?'
Was he actually in a band, and if so can someone tell me which one and who he is? he does seem a bit familiar.
If he was, then poor chap, he is trying to cash in on his ex fame and I haven't a clue who he is.

Dunno, but I was wondering if those were his real life kids, seemed very natural.

The man in the Rice Krispies advert was in a boy band called 87' Rich street, London records and he was a backing singer and dancer after that for Dead or Alive for 1 year and he did lots of promotions and dancing.

I've Google searched said band and Google hasn't any info
