Poor Arthur being told off and put on the naughty step when Nelly hijacked his turn on the slide!

I was Shock Shock Shock at Nelly's party. That must have cost thousands! For a five-year-old's birthday! Hmm

LucaFritz · 27/09/2019 17:45

I saw the clip for the birthday party online Shock even some of the other parents attending looked disgusted and shocked at it. Whatever happened to the birthday parties of my youth with party rings and a birthday cake either made by your mum or bought in from the supermarket Hmm

HJWT · 27/09/2019 18:45

@CatkinToadflax It was just ridiculous! So over the top

ALemonyPea · 27/09/2019 21:11

I was seething at poor Arthur being out on the naughty step when it was Nelly who went up the slide the wrong way just so she could go first. Poor boy.

Nellys birthday party was ridiculous! What is she going to do for the next One? Fly her and her friends to Disney? Wonder if Arthur will have such grand birthday parties?

areyoubeingserviced · 27/09/2019 22:41

Nelly is a spoilt brat . Her parents aren’t doing her any favours by giving in to her every whim.
Agree that Billie is awful on this series. The party was just awful and OTT. I was actually embarrassed for her.
I agree with the poster who said that Big Paul was manipulative rather than autistic..
Tbh, I am going to give the rest of a series miss

MrsPellegrinoPetrichor · 27/09/2019 22:46

Does that riding hat fit Rosie properly? It looks really loose on herConfused

user764329056 · 27/09/2019 22:54

I can’t face watching anymore of this series, just seems to be showing off how much is being spent on Nellie, there’s no content really, I know it’s reality and not Shakespeare but it’s not even entertaining, Billie used to be quite down to earth but no more and Sam and Paul just make for uncomfortable viewing

HJWT · 28/09/2019 09:13

@user764329056 I know what you mean, a whole episode going on & on about Nelly and Sam's eyelashes!! I couldn't believe it when she said it is as if I am self harming 🤦🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
peppinanna · 28/09/2019 10:21

I'm not keen on Sam and Paul and wouldn't even watch the show if it was just about them two so gutted to see Billie has turned all superficial and irritating Sad nelly is so spoilt but they just don't seem to care!! Billie is a completely different person to who she was before planning the wedding is weird.

MrsPellegrinoPetrichor · 28/09/2019 13:00

Tbf it IS a form of self harm if you pull all your eyelashes out.

Billie used to be fun and more down to earth, now she just seems a bit pissed off Greg is getting some publicity.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 28/09/2019 14:51

Think I’ll skip the rest of this series because
1- the product placement is painfully obvious, bloody Carex in every shot
2 - I think Big Paul is worryingly controlling with his son- and tbh for all their talk of being such hands on parents I never see that boy without his iPad...send him to nursery ffs.
3 - Greg and Billie have spoilt their kids, the party was extreme but tbh my real issue is the amount of stuff. Every outdoor toy, kitchen, bike, scooter you could imagine by 2&4- 60kids at the birthday party giving a present then all that other stuff. The excess is depressing.

Starksforthewin · 28/09/2019 17:20

I agree, the excess consumerist vibe dominates the show now and it makes me cringe for them. It’s as if they only exist when they are spending money...

Billie has such a weird relationship with Nelly. All this ‘my best friend’ bullshit and wanting to be compared to each other all the time. I bet a psychologist could have a field day with that!

Even on Instagram the odd dissenting voice is starting to speak up about Nelly, although the huns usually pounce on them... “how can you say that about a child..” etc

hilaryguineapig · 28/09/2019 18:12

The shopping trip was shocking. "Just a few wrap ups" and then Santa's sledge full of presents was gross. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. It's way too much.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 28/09/2019 18:59

Like when Rosie went to Claire’s accessorise with Paul (clearly because Nelly was endorsing them last season) no 18 month old needs a spending spree on hair bands and earrings - wtf!

hilaryguineapig · 28/09/2019 21:10

The excess is gross. I've liked Billie and Gregg up until now. A prosecco van for a 5 year olds day is too much.

CallMeOnMyCell · 29/09/2019 08:23

They are all coming across as grabby in this series and it sends a terrible message to their children. Billie is like a different person compared to earlier series.

MiniCooperLover · 29/09/2019 12:34

It's going to become obvious how ridiculous she is when they start house hunting ...

TheFairyCaravan · 29/09/2019 12:48

I watch this and follow Twitter. I am completely gobsmacked at the amount of people who want their children to be "just like Nelly." I'm going to be brutally honest but I think they're all spoilt brats, it's just because Nelly is older that she comes across the worst.

Little Paul didn't want that bike. That should have waited until Christmas or his birthday imo. Just because they can buy their kids expensive gifts any day of the year doesn't mean they should. None of them are going to learn the value of anything.

I remember when Little Paul was a baby and Sam harped on about everything being home cooked and organic and she had a woman round to teach him a language, might have been Spanish. Now he's eating biscuits all the time, drinking tea from a bottle and is glued to an iPad

IHaveBrilloHair · 29/09/2019 15:37

I found it awful.
Telling off Arthur when he'd done nothing wrong, shoving random toys in the trolley, the awful party, and it was awful.
Does she have normal school mum friends, or are they all clamouring to be her mate and competing to see who can get Nellie the best present, rather than a school party where I live where it's kept to a £5-10 limit. (And I struggled with that back in the day)
I wish they'd get Rosie off that bloody pony too, rattling around with a floppy helmet on little more than a baby.
Just stop it, you have children, not dolls.

MrsPellegrinoPetrichor · 29/09/2019 15:39

Hang on,did you not see what Arthur did to Nelly? He's a proper little toughie 😂

IHaveBrilloHair · 29/09/2019 17:23

And?
Does that mean mean he should be told off for something his sister did.
Take turns, unless Nellie wants to go first.

MrsPellegrinoPetrichor · 29/09/2019 17:27

I don't think grabbing your sister's face like he did is ever acceptable and it was dealt with appropriately.

Take turns absolutely but you don't get to hurt your sibling.

ALemonyPea · 29/09/2019 17:57

He was retaliating over her shoving her way up the slide when it was her turn. They should have both been disciplined.

MrsPellegrinoPetrichor · 29/09/2019 17:58

They should have both been disciplined I agree

rockingthelook · 29/09/2019 18:46

Famous for sod all, no real jobs or careers and sad empty lives, teaching people that materialism and consumerism is to be admired and craved, just awful people bringing up children who will be just the same
