I know I am being unreasonable but I just find Olivia Coleman so overrated as an actor and her performance really very annoying, but she seems to be hugely popular? What am I missing??

Archery I was going to say exactly the same! She plays a brilliant role, I love the passive aggressive conversations!

I think she's fab.

Another one who loves her in Fleabag! She seems so likeable in real life and so utterly unlikeable in this.

Remember her in 2012 playing Hugh Bonneville’s assistant? That was a fab part.

She's incredible in Fleabag and amazing in Broadchurch

I think she's mesmerising

I think she literally inhabits the character, which is pretty sure is the point of acting

I have met her in RL
She is a lovely and very down to earth lady

Of course you don't have to like her. Starting a thread online to disparage her is unnecessary however.

I find her utterly captivating. She's extraordinarily talented. But I'd find this thread in poor taste if I didn't enjoy her work.

You misunderstand the point of my thread. Wasn't just doing it to be nasty, genuinely interested as to why I couldn't connect with her performance and really to see if anyone could say which things they've seen her in that they've really liked her in.

I was sooo not fussed by her for ages and her being involved put me off watching some programs.

That being said I've taken up listening to podcasts and started listening to David Tennants new podcast. He did a sit down with OC and it changed my whole opinion of her.
