Did anyone else watch this tonight? I thought it was great! The contestants are warm, genuine and with normal ego levels. There's no pouting, posing, naked bodies.... just ordinary people racing to Singapore with little money and no internet. I'm loving the glimpses of people helping them along the way.

Father and son duo.

JasperRising · 07/04/2019 18:07

I'm going to have to catch up tomorrow (so will have to avoid this thread) but I'm hoping for Alex and his dad to win, or the two women.

Ilooklikeapencil · 07/04/2019 18:30

I think Darron and Alex

TwitterQueen1 · 07/04/2019 18:30

I'd like Alex & Darron to win
But, I wonder if Felix and Josh will do it, despite their 3 hour lag...

I do think it's going to be very close...

It will be interesting to see how the budgets work in the last leg, travel in Malaysia can be quite pricey.

stucknoue · 07/04/2019 18:59

Can't wait. Dd and I have applied for next series! (Figured they did the dad and son so we stand a good chance!)

LongHaulSally · 07/04/2019 19:28

I think Tony and Elaine might win as I think their remaining budget is going to be crucial! But I would like to see Natalie and Shameema win

aristocat · 07/04/2019 19:58

I also expect Darron & Alex to win. I do like all the couples though, its been great. Just a few minutes now ..........

CanoeDoYouThinkYouAre · 07/04/2019 20:05

I don't mind who wins but I'd rather it not be Tony and Elaine.
I appreciate that it's a race but I've found Elaine's competitiveness unpleasant.
I think this may be the making of Alex which would make the whole journey worthwhile for him and Darren.

Ilooklikeapencil · 07/04/2019 20:22

I have wine. I've just eaten a big roast dinner(pork, crackling and all the trimmings)
Watching Race across the World finale and also counting down to LoD at 9 pm

Brienneoftarthiloveyou · 07/04/2019 20:31

I hope Darren and Alex win or Natalie and Shameema as not as fussed on the other 2 couples but I do like how normal they all are really so don't too much overall.

Brienneoftarthiloveyou · 07/04/2019 20:32

*don't mind

ABC1234DEF · 07/04/2019 20:39

I think Darron and Alex will win, but think Tony and Elaine deserve to for their route planning and constant impressive catch ups

ABadlyShavedYeti · 07/04/2019 20:53

Can’t stand Tony and Elaine, gutted they have won.

Still18atheart · 07/04/2019 20:54

I wanted Darron & Alex to sign in whilst tony and Elaine were hugging it out

QsGal · 07/04/2019 20:56

I really wish Darron and Alex had won but I think they got an awful lot out of it. I think that Tony and Elaine’s competitiveness was quite ugly in the end.

fedup2017 · 07/04/2019 20:56

Properly gutted. Really wanted Alex and Darrin to win.

CanoeDoYouThinkYouAre · 07/04/2019 20:57

Oh dear Josh and Felix....

Todaythiscouldbe · 07/04/2019 20:58

I really didn't like Tony and Elaine. Absolutely gutted

LaLaLamp · 07/04/2019 21:03

ahhh I really wanted Darron & Alex to win!

Horsemad · 07/04/2019 21:06

Gutted for Darron & Alex but boy, did they win the ultimate prize in getting their relationship back on track & the making of Alex.

What am I going to watch on Sunday evenings now...? ☹️

Friolero · 07/04/2019 21:06

I really enjoyed that whole series, but it’s a shame Darron and Alex didn’t win. Having said that I think they got the most out of this experience so they’re winners in that sense! In the earlier legs I was impressed with Tony and Elaine for going from last to first, but they became far too competitive towards the end and I’m really disappointed they won.

purpleme12 · 07/04/2019 21:07

Yes I think we all wanted Darren and Alex to win! Yes I agree the competitiveness didn't really make them attractive in the end

CanoeDoYouThinkYouAre · 07/04/2019 21:10

I think I've slightly fallen in love with Natalie.

To have gone through everything that she has in her life and to still have such a positive attitude is humbling. I'm currently about to finish treatment for cervical cancer and honestly, I've wallowed in a bit of self pity for the last few months. Occasionally I need an example of positivity to give me a kick up the bum!

Anyway (sorry, rambling!) DH and I had decided to take a trip once my treatment has finished and thanks to the programme we've settled on....Baku!
Flying though. Not sure I could handle all those trains right now.

VanessaShanessaJenkins · 07/04/2019 21:26

I'm really glad felix and Josh came last. I know it's only tv and it's heavily edited but they really rubbed me up the wrong way. The girls should have left them at the bottom on the tower!
It's a shame Alex and darron didn't win.
I'm not quite sure how Tony and elaine managed to get so many taxis, do such little work and manage it Hmm
