Here be spoilers and dragons: GoT foreshadowing

I keep hearing how much people pick up on foreshadowing when they rewatch GoT. I’m on my second rewatch and I’ve managed a single instance from the whole of series 1 (when Daenerys gets in the too hot bath with no problems).

If you have any others you’ve spotted please enlighten me and impress me with your masterful observation skills. I’m desperate to return my DH’s smug, knowing looks with something other than a blank look because I’ve missed everything again.

Tbf I am a northern girl and live in the Lake District, where summer is whichever 2 days of the year doesn't rain, and so many of us are just hardened to the weather that hats, scarves and gloves are optional - as long as you have a jacket for when it's nippy you're good to go. Grin

Another interesting bit in the trailer is that there was a brief flash of what looked like wolves running.

Nymeria’s pack was last seen in the Riverlands. If they end up involved, then I imagine that the survivors of Winterfell flee south and somehow end up in a confrontation with the army of the dead in the Riverlands which involves the wolf pack.

At some point Melissandre is also going to turn up (she was totally absent from the trailer). Will we see another ‘riders of Rohan’ moment where Melissandre and reinforcements turn up just in the nick of time to save our protagonists from certain defeat?

Will the Hound survive Cleganebowl? My guess is no (much as it pains me to say it). I reckon he’ll be mortally wounded and Arya will finish off the Mountain and then give Sandor the gift of mercy that she denied him in season 4. She will then stalk off wearing dead Jaime’s face (who died tragically in the arms of Brienne) to finish of Cersei.

We just watched the trailer for season 8. The bit where Cersi drinks the wine - my husband said: “fucking Cersi. Still can’t get on board with everyone else.”

But Neds head is on a spike in kings landing, it would be pretty difficult for him to come back as a white walker?

No, Littlefinger returned Ned's remains to Catelyn at Cersei's behest, as advised by Tyrion to do, because they were trying to appease the Starks. Obviously there could be no appeasement but they thought if she knew she'd get her daughters back and Robb would be safe she'd take steps to stop the war and trying to avenge Ned's death. Ned's remains are in the crypt at Winterfell.

I thought Arya was walking to Mel when she was holding the dagger ? Definitely looked like someone in red.

Interesting that the camera pans over Varys when Arya says death has many faces.
