The Handmaid’s Tale... just urgh! (No spoilers please)

This show is infuriating! I now it’s only a tv programme but it’s boiling my piss and I can’t stop watching because I’m hoping for a good ending.

Have you ever watched fiction and still been spitting-fire-angry?

Yep! It is an emotional rollercoaster. Watched first season when I'd just given birth - not a good idea.

That won’t have been easy! I remember when dd was born Corrie had a story involving Bethany Platt as a baby and I had to stop watching.

Dh is wondering why I’m putting myself through it when it’s making me so angry and I’ve asked myself that question. I feel invested in June’s story and all of the others and I need to know their situation changes. (Don’t want to give spoilers so can’t say more than that)

Glad to know I’m not the only one who found it a struggle to watch.

Well season 2 finished so now have to buy the books on kindle to find out what happens.

I thought the book was season 1 and the tv series veered off in its own direction?

The book will not tell you anything new. The second series has gone off ahead.

There are two on kindle. The second one is called ‘The Testaments (The Handmaid’s Tale Book 2)” and the original has (Book 1) in the title.

What did it for me was Margaret Atwood saying there is nothing in it that isn't it hasn't been done to women and girls. Tears or rage watching it sometimes.

It’s absolutely rage-inducing, heart wrenching watching!
