Hi all

An advert from Hulu has just popped up on my FB to say that a new season is coming soon. I don’t know when (and Channel 4 will probably show it a few weeks later than Hulu).

Who will be watching? I will but at the same time I’m hoping that this doesn’t become a Game of Thrones epic.

I have a suggestion - would anyone else appreciate this?

We all seem to watch at a different pace. Some of us can't watch the instant the episode is released. There's usually a lot to say.

Why not have a THREAD PER EPISODE plan, with no actual plot discussion on this the "main" thread (links to the new episode thread can be posted here).

Then those of us who watch the episode a few days later due to time constraints can discuss episode X without having the posts mixed up with the OMG posts as episode X+1 is broadcast.

StormyLovesOdd · 06/02/2019 10:59

Jessica - I think that's a brilliant idea, then those of us that watch immediately can discuss it without worrying about spoiling it for someone else.

CruCru · 06/02/2019 15:00

Yes I’m cool with that.

We may be a bit off episode 1 though.

There were definitely boys at the party thrown for the Mexicans in series one and in the scenes in the park in series two.
I think we have only seen two babies born.. Charlotte /Angela and June's baby

Njordsgrrrl · 06/02/2019 20:57

Good point. I'm not sure where the theory came from as I said, but was thinking there were boys in that scene - although I wouldn't have put it past Gilead to have added them from other sources!

DerelictWreck · 07/02/2019 12:19

I think you're right about the population though. The trailer referred to 'dozens of babies' having been born, and it's been what 5 years by that point? So at a rate of 2/3 babies per year it's not a terribly successful model!

Exciting!!

HomerDancing · 07/02/2019 20:28

Can’t bloody wait for it to come back!!

CruCru · 11/02/2019 17:54

Hulu have said that it is coming on 5 June so the UK may be a bit later.

I’m gutted that it’s late this year. Damn Hulu messing with it. I imagine the delay might be partly down to Yvonne Strahovski’s mat leave though, so I did expect it.

Crinkle77 · 12/02/2019 21:46

I read somewhere that the trailer is based on a famous Reagan speech called morning in America. Think it was supposed to represent some kind of ideal America. June says at the end of the ad that morning is over so perhaps this does represent the end of the 'utopia' that is gilead.

I've just finished season 2. Bloody hell. Compulsive viewing but gruelling!

CruCru · 01/05/2019 16:15

Ah, there’s a new advert coming up on FB for it.

Channel 4 just says “Coming soon” though.
