Who's leaving this week? Could it be...

...Billi the posing snake in the grass?

...Carole the overworked overlooked skivvy?

...Tracey the abrasive nicotine fiend?

Place your bets!

I like Charley, < ducks low >

she is honest & caring, she is strong & always on the defensive, she will be a better person for this experience. I think she has a maturity above her years, she's young & could do with the rough edges rounding...

Gerry- poor excuse for a man

Channelle- psychopathic tendancies

Brian- big softie

I agree the mix did not work, this year too much water, lot's of cancerians!!

LucyJones · 23/07/2007 13:33

I like Charley too.
She was honest enough last night to admit her mistakes.

sparkler · 23/07/2007 19:20

I don't believe Charlie is honest - she puts on a front and is nasty.

LucyJones · 23/07/2007 19:20

yes but last night she was honest enough to admit that she puts on a front and is nasty and apologised for it.

sparkler · 23/07/2007 19:49

yes maybe - but she'll do it again.

chocolateshoes · 23/07/2007 19:52

Have they done the nominations for this week yet?

noseymum · 24/07/2007 11:49

This series has got to be the most predictable one so far.

Charley arguing with someone
The on/off ziggy and Chanelle thing
Arguments over food

There has been nothing interesting at all IMO.

I don't sit and watch it like I did. If I have something else to do I just do it. If I go out I don't worry about missing it.

Hate Charley, want her out, but BB has fixed that which has also p'd me off.

Clementine1 · 24/07/2007 17:53

tracey and Charley are up for eviction.

Most of the housemates are in the Living Area. Brian is being philosophical about how when he was younger he'd want to sit at the back of the bus with the cool kids and the silly antics he got up to. Now that he is older he looks back and thinks how pathetic that was. Carol agrees, saying: "Generationally it's always been the same".
In the Bedroom, Ziggy says to Liam:" You know what, I came in here quite a cool guy and I've turned into the wettest human being. This place has knocked the shit out of me."

The housemates spend the afternoon nominating.

6.19pm
The housemates are gathered on the sofas in the Living Area. Ziggy and Gerry are in the News Studio ready to announce BBTV breaking news, which includes news of Rihanna's lengthy success at the top of the music charts. This ties into reporting the impact of the weather for the summer - wet, wet, wet.Ziggy reads a message from Liam's Dad. An emotional Liam sits listening, hugging a sofa cushion. Gerry then reads out a message from his friend Elena and one from his mother. Both Carole and Chanelle understand the importance of the message from his mother and start to cry.Following the report, Liam goes to the toilet to shed a tear in private before wiping them away and re-joining the other housemates.
In the News Room, Ziggy attempts to comfort an overcome Gerry, who says: "I'm so pleased my mum is still speaking to me," as he too fights back tears. The two return via the Diary Room to walk into Charley and Chanelle disagreeing on Rihanna's age, while the twins sat with them on the sofa. The argument soon turns personal. Chanelle says: "Charley, to be quite honest I'm sick of listening to conversations where everything gets turned around to you and what you think and it's about you. Have you not noticed that when you walk into a room and talk shit, they walk out of it?"Looking at the twins, Charley replies: "I'm sorry to get you involved; I wouldn't even argue with it, it's a state." Chanelle replies: "Well f*k off then," to which Charley responds: "No, you fk off." Chanelle continues: "I love the way you said you weren't going to argue again, you've done such a good job of it." The argument continues with the pair shouting over each other and the twins sat staring at them. Charley shouts that she'd never heard of Wakefield where Chanelle comes from. Chanelle replies: "You can't even say it." Charley shouts back: "I don't even want to say it, I've never even fkin' heard of it."After trading further insults, Chanelle shouts: "Who the fk is she," leaving Charley to retort, "Chanelle, who the fk are you, darling?"They continue arguing for a short time when Charley says: "You wanna be Posh Spice, I don't think so. You look f*k-all like her, darling." "I'm gonna dye my hair blonde, "Chanelle replies adding, "At least I'm prettier than you," to which Charley says, "I don't think so, darling.""You came in here wanting to be a WAG," points out Charley. A shouting Chanelle responds quickly: "Not now I've seen the state of one."Finally after a further round of shouting, the girls quieten as Brian shuffles Charley out into the Garden and Chanelle storms to the Diary Room.In the Diary Room, Chanelle screams to Big Brother: "I am furious. She is driving me insane?." Chanelle screams loudly: "She's so see-through; she's like a bloody window!"

7.23pm
Charley and Tracey are in the Smoking Area talking about Charley's argument with Chanelle. Sam and Chanelle are in the bathroom. They discuss the wording Chanelle should use when she speaks to Charley about their argument.Chanelle comes out to find Charley in the bedroom and starts to apologise, saying: "I have never spoken to anyone saying mean things like that. I don't know if you thought that was out of order but I personally think it was out of order?I've never said that to anyone." Charley still wants to get her side of the story across and they agree they will never talk again. Chanelle tries to apologise but Charley keeps talking over her, culminating in Charley not accepting Chanelle's apology and Chanelle walking out.
Amanda tries to reason with Charley that they are both in the wrong. Charley isn't interested saying: "She's playing a game." Amanda continues with her attempts until Charley gives in, saying: "I'm over her, man. I can ignore her and she can just ignore me."

8.24pm
Big Brother has called Ziggy and his chosen housemate (Liam) to the Diary Room. Big Brother announces that as part of this weeks shopping task the two of them will take part in 'One Man and Ziggy's Dog.' As it dawns on Ziggy that this could mean a reunion with his beloved Molly he shouts, "No, no, no, have you got my dog in?"Gerry is talking about how he is the most well known Greek person in the UK at the moment and that it is, "Quite a responsibility." Liam is to be the presenter of 'One Man and Ziggy's Dog' and, after changing, the two step into the garden where Molly, Ziggy's Shar Pei, is waiting, along with an activity course. After an initial distinct lack of recognition to her owner, Ziggy and Molly enjoy a rapturous reunion.

8.41pm
The rest of the housemates are at the Living Area window watching Ziggy, Liam and Molly. Liam explains the instructions for the course saying: "Some owners look like their dogs but Molly is better looking."Ziggy and Molly have five minutes to complete the course in the garden. The course will see her walk over a miniature see-saw, weave around some cones, jump over three low fences and finally through a tunnel. Ziggy admits: "God, I'd wish I'd taken her to dog classes."After some success with the activity, the pair come to the tunnel. After teaming up with Liam, they fold down the tunnel and while Ziggy holds Molly, Liam carefully rolls it over her head, thus successfully completing the course.Liam and Ziggy are called back into the house and Liam turned to Ziggy saying: "I'll give you a minute." The housemates look on as Ziggy says an emotional goodbye to his beloved dog.

12.01am
Brian is in the Diary Room talking about his fellow housemate's messages from home and that now they are getting them, he hadn't even thought about his own family's reactions. He asks Big Brother, "Have I disgraced Basildon?"Chanelle and Ziggy are on the sofas in the Living Area. Carole, Tracey and Charley are in the bedroom. Ziggy goes into the bedroom and Chanelle refusing, asks him to bring out Betsy (her toy rabbit). After looking for Betsy, Ziggy comes back out and asks Chanelle where it is. Chanelle replies: "I bet Charley took the head off it." Ziggy goes back into the Bedroom searching for Betsy, with Carole and Tracey trying to help. A bemused Ziggy said: "Where's my life gone to, my chasing after a rabbit." Carole says: "Tell her to find her own bloody rabbit." The group try and re-trace where Chanelle may have had Betsy.Ziggy heads back out to Chanelle and they discuss who would possibly be up for nomination, with Chanelle convinced that Charley won't be up and that she might be.

chocolateshoes · 24/07/2007 20:32

Thank you! I'm v glad - had felt sure that Channel 4 would find a way to keep Charley in. Faith restored!

imaginaryfriend · 24/07/2007 21:18

She's gotta go!

Bonaventura · 24/07/2007 21:57

Now, now, ladies. Charley has escaped eviction through her own manipulations and also through luck. Channel 4's desires had nothing to do with it. They announced the fake eviction thing before nominations took place, and they couldn't have known Charley would even be up that week. And she escaped last week simply because she managed to make the other housemates feel guilty for nomming her the week before. Sam didn't nom her again, and neither did Ziggy. But that's Charley's skill, isn't it? Turning over a new leaf every Friday, keeping her head down until Monday, then reverting to old habits once the noms are done. Crafty bitch. But that's not BB's doing. Stop the conspiracy theories.

But it didn't work this week. Charley's up, and she won't escape this time. She's gone.
Hurrah!

Bonaventura · 24/07/2007 22:06

Nice summary of events Clementine1. Look forward to more like that.

mummyemmy · 24/07/2007 22:37

Get Charley OUT can't stand the cow!

Liam or Brian to win!!

MummyPenguin · 24/07/2007 22:40

I dunno, I wouldn't be surprised if Tracey goes instead of Charley. After all, Tracey doesn't really do anything does she? There will be quite a large number of people who will want Charley to stay in as she at least guarantees some interesting telly in the sense that something's bound to kick off. We all like a rubberneck at a ruck don't we?

Loved Ziggy and his dog.

kikid · 24/07/2007 22:46

Conceited Channelle, is soooo manipulative, if she didn't have Ziggy she be lost..

Get her out she is so envious of Charley,
Ziggy likes charley..

MummyPenguin · 24/07/2007 22:53

Chanelle often comes across as trying to be the 'Nikki' of this series.

Bonaventura · 24/07/2007 23:19

Chanelle trying to be Nikki? Well, that makes two of them, then. Charley is the one who has said "Who is she?", complete with arm thrust out sideways for dramatic effect. She's also done Catherine Tate's "Lauren", with the "Am I bothered?" question the other day. And she's being doing Vicki Pollard all the time. "Gabble gabble gabble gabble gabble gabble shut up! gabble gabble gabble fuckin' idiot!" She's doing the whole gallery of favourites, trying to find one that makes her a hit with the public.

noseymum · 25/07/2007 13:59

Well the betting is for Charley to go!

RGPargy · 25/07/2007 14:00

GET CHARLEY OUT!!!!

PURRRRLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!!

jalopy · 25/07/2007 19:27

As much as I dislike the woman, if Charley goes, there'll be no show.

weebleswobble · 25/07/2007 21:12

Someone pass me a long sharp knife. I'm going to stab Chanelle right now!

imaginaryfriend · 25/07/2007 21:36

Chanelle's been dire tonight. Is she afraid of playing the violin in public because she lied about being able to play it at all? There seems to be no other reason that I can work out.

wheresthehamster · 25/07/2007 21:56

OMG pass the sick bucket. Ziggy's having a laugh about being in a band isn't he?

Clementine1 · 26/07/2007 09:19

Day 56

5:17pm - The housemates are gathered on the sofas for Big Brother's Talent Show. Big Brother has decided that Liam will play the keyboard, Carole will sing Stairway to Heaven, Brian will sing Fit But You Know It, Chanelle will play the violin and Ziggy will sing his Number 15 hit Love on the Northern Line by his former boyband Northern Line. Gerry is the show's executive producer, Tracey is the "nasty judge", Sam is the "nice judge" and Amanda is the runner. Chanelle is upset and says she doesn't want to play the violin "in front of the whole world". She says it's embarrassing and that she simply doesn't want to do it. The others try to encourage her to do it for the sake of the task, but Chanelle is adamant she won't play it.
Gerry, the executive producer, is called to the Diary Room. When asked by Big Brother if he's got what it takes to produce the show, Gerry says "I'm better than you, I'll produce it better". Big Brother replies "well the proof is in the programming big guy". On the sofas Chanelle asks Charley "why are you staring at me?" Charley says "get over yourself?why would I look at you? Who's Chanelle when she's at home?" Charley walks outside saying "dopey cow?so f*ing pathetic".
Chanelle goes to the Diary Room and starts to cry. "I don't want to do this, it scares the s**t out of me". She says that she's too nervous to play and that playing the violin is something she does for herself, not for others. She then says she wants to go home. Big Brother suggests she talks to her fellow housemates about her decision, so Chanelle storms out and tells the others she's going home. Ziggy follows her to the bedroom and says she'll regret leaving if the reason is Charley. Chanelle says she can't live with Charley, and hasn't had a message from home, and doesn't want to play the violin. Ziggy tries to reassure her by saying "I have to dance around to what's probably the cheesiest pop song that has ever, ever been created. And dance. I dance like my dad. At a wedding."

7.10pm - In the garden Brian asks Amanda what meat is in chilli con carne. Amanda says it is mince beef. Brian said he thought it was vegetarian and didn't know there was meat in it.
At the dining table, Liam apologises to Chanelle for calling her selfish when she said she didn't want to play the violin. Liam says he just felt that "nobody else is fortunate enough to have that gift" and that he thought she should try.
The Big Brother News theme music plays into the house, and as Liam and Sam are the first two to reach the Diary Room, they will be the news anchors. On the plasma screen the other housemates watch as Liam reads the "news" that Tracey and Charley are up for eviction. Tracey smiles when her name is said, and Charley says "thank god" when she hears her. She tells the housemates that she's relaxed about it as she wants to leave anyway and that she's sick of people "talking s**t" to her.

8.48pm - In the living area Charley says that there is no way that Chanelle will walk now that she is up for nomination. Some of the housemates discuss the fact that they all could fail the task if Chanelle goes and suggest that as Gerry is the executive producer he should convince her to stay and play the violin.
Gerry goes into the caravan and says to Chanelle that it is not about failing the task but more to do with her achieving something. Brian says that she is letting the others win if she doesn't do it and Gerry says that she should face her fears.

10:31pm - Liam and Sam take their positions as news anchors and Sam does an impression of Lorraine Kelly. On the sofas Ziggy says to Chanelle that he can't believe she has been giving him shit all day, but Chanelle says he has been ignoring her all day. The plasma comes on and the first news item is that Charley's cousin Kieran Richardson has been transferred from Manchester United to Sunderland. Charley looks shocked. Chanelle and Brian get messages from their families, which makes them cry. The last line of Brian's message from his mum read "PS: sort your bloody hair out". Charley asks "what's Sunderland? Are they any good?" adding that Kieran's dad wouldn't have allowed it unless there was a lot of money involved.

11.14pm - Chanelle walks out of the Diary Room saying that Big Brother has given her a violin that is "worth eight quid" and that because she had to tune it she didn't have any practice time. Ziggy says that they just want to see her make an effort and Chanelle storms off into the bedroom. "I don't think I was born to say the right things to girls, I just can't say the right thing" says Ziggy.
In the bedroom Chanelle is upset that the dress she has to wear makes her look "like a fing pregnant woman". Chanelle then goes to the garden where Carole and Ziggy are. She's complaining about what she has to wear and Ziggy says "do you think I enjoy wearing leather pants?" Chanelle announces that she is going to the Diary Room. Under his breath Ziggy says "ok then, go to the fing Diary Room". Chanelle storms back out to the garden and says "What did you say? Go f*ing home? Alright then I will."

1.13am - The Big Brother Talent Show has started with Charley "presenting". The housemates do not know that to pass the task, the judges, Sam and Tracey, must give the performers at least 25 points between them. Liam is the first contestant and plays The Entertainer on the keyboard. He is given a score of four out of ten. Carole is next and has to sing Stairway to Heaven. She is wearing heels, fishnets, small black pants and a top hat, and starts to strip as she sings. She is given six out of ten.

1.37am - Charley introduces Chanelle as the next act and Chanelle plays Spring from Vivaldi's Four Seasons with only a few mistakes. Sam holds up a score of four and Tracey holds up a score of three. Charley says "you got eight out of ten". "No, I got seven" Chanelle corrects her. Ziggy is next and starts singing Love on the Northern Line sitting backwards on a chair. On the sofas, the other housemates are watching and Chanelle is singing along and says "my boyfriend's a popstar!" In the "studio" Ziggy gets off the chair and starts singing to the judges, before ripping open his shirt and getting up close to Tracey who looks flustered and is laughing. At the end of the song Ziggy jokes that that "felt so good" and tells Tracey "the judge" that she looks like she could do with some love on the northern line. "There are leaves on my line, get off!" jokes Tracey. Ziggy gets a score of six. He walks off and shouts out to Tracey "I want you, I'm going to hump you!" Brian says "I can't believe I live with a pop star!" Chanelle is declared the winner by Charley.

1:57am - Gerry is reading a laminate to the group and says that the group had to get more than 25 points in order to pass the Talent Show task. They get a combined score of 28, and jump and hug each other.

3.02am - Chanelle and Ziggy are in the caravan. Chanelle asks "do you think I'm pretty enough for you?" Ziggy says she is pretty and funny but has acted like a "dck" today. Chanelle says that she is not going to be a dck anymore. Charley, Tracey and Carole are in the bedroom talking about Chanelle. Carole says that Chanelle did the task in order not to let Gerry down and Charley says that Chanelle's ego has gone up since she heard the answers in the Big Brother quiz a few days ago. She said that Chanelle has started to act like her since she heard Charley was the most likely to still be known in five years' time

MummyPenguin · 26/07/2007 09:40

Chanelle was dire last night. She made herself look really silly with her hysterics over playing the violin, and then playing in the end after all. I think I know what she's doing, again, she's trying to come across as the 'Nikki' of this series, as she thinks it's going to be entertaining for viewers and make her popular. I knew she could play the violin as she was using terms that people who play use. My DD plays, and I recognised some of the terminology.

I roared lauging at Tracey 'Nasty Judge's' comment at Ziggy's performance of 'Love on the Northern Line' - "there's leaves on my line - get off."

Carol was fab too. Good for her, game for a laugh.
