But we have a dilemma- since this is up again 'The Greatest Dancer' on BBC , at the same time.

The judges for this year are the same as last (yes, they let Olly come backGrin), J-Hud, S'Tom, and Will.

To be honest, I'm full of a cold, and will be lucky to watch either without nodding offGrin, so I'm armed with lemsip.

So- whether it's Chezza and dancing, or S'Tom and warbling that takes your fancy, Saturday nights are back to what they do best- with dollops of fake emotion Grin

Wonder how the Voice will hold up against Chezza dn co? I'll stick with The Voice.

On Tenable yesterday the final round was all The Voice Coaches. I got them all except Boy George! What an oversight!

Boyskeepswinging · 05/01/2019 14:01

Hi guys! I've lurked on your Voice threads for years but I think it's high time I joined the party. Absolutely love the early rounds (no contest for Chezza), always a smorgasbord, always highly entertaining but rarely for the right reasons. Looking forward to catching you at 8pm.

The80sweregreat · 05/01/2019 16:58

Hi, I bet dh wants to watch the cheryl thing.
I'd rather check in with you ladies!
Who won it last year?
I can't recall a single one.

NoisyBrain · 05/01/2019 17:16

Happy New Year all! I also have a cold, but hey at least it's come after the festivities. I will be medicating it with wine Grin

Seems like only 5 minutes since X Factor ended!

Roussette · 05/01/2019 17:23

I'm in! (despite posting about the dancing prog.!) I shall look over at it and marvel at the wonder that is Cheryl's frozen face but I am a Voice person at heart really! (as long as JHud doesn't shout or squeal too much as I am short of fuse because of Dry January Grin)

Raahh · 05/01/2019 17:29

it does feel like 5 minutes since X Factor finished. I had high hopes for the Dalton single, and it really didnt do well. I didn't hear it once on the radio, either. I thought the combination of James Arthur and the song choice would make it a big hit. Shows what I know!Grin

Grin Roussette

I'm recording the dance thing. Might watch it tomorrow whilst I iron. Grin

Piggywaspushed · 05/01/2019 17:34

I also cannot recall who won last year!

Piggywaspushed · 05/01/2019 17:37

roussette are you not a bit worried you'll get Strictly emigrees posting on your Dancing thread and so you will have to be very sensible whilst bitching about any attractive and overly accomplished female ?

Raahh · 05/01/2019 17:38

it was Ruti who won last year, she was on Tom's team.

But I only remember because I googled it during the X Factor threads Grin

Rou; I'm doing ' dryuary' too.
Dh is quaffing a Sainsbury's white wine special while I'm on the tea! Grr
(I know it's only a few days but I miss a drink on the weekend)
Anyway, agree that Dalton's song should have done a bit better. I think heart radio were more interested in playing the Greatest showman ones than his song.
The voice is all about the judges really though! I'm sure s'tom throws in extra people ' who he has sung with' to see if we're still listening! Bless him.

nancy75 · 05/01/2019 18:01

Evening all & Happy New Year!

I’m shocked this is on so soon but thank god it’s saved me from watching Chezza!

nancy75 · 05/01/2019 18:02

Dd saw Dalton at the jingle bell ball, she said him & pin head were really not bad (although Dalton did wear the worst outfit known to man)

jessstan2 · 05/01/2019 18:06

I have a feeling 'The Voice' will be the best of the two shows but I am going to watch the first episode of 'The Greatest Dancer' because I very much like all the presenters and the judges. Will watch 'The Voice' on catch up.

'The Voice' is marvellous, I look forward to that and 'Strictly' every year.

The80sweregreat · 05/01/2019 18:09

To be fair to the X factor , it's produced more memorable acts than the voice had or ever will do! Even if it's gone downhill recently.

BartonHollow · 05/01/2019 18:17

Yo @Raahh we were correspondents on X Factor thread but I have name changed since. As The Voice is pointless and it's contestants vanish without trace, I am obviously only here for the mockery.

I refused to watch it last year because I hate Olly Murs Grin

Remember when Olly Murs was frightened by a noise in a shop and tweeted that he was running for his life from terrorists Grin

Raahh · 05/01/2019 18:19

evening Barton!

The80sweregreat · 05/01/2019 18:28

Hi Nancy! Fresh from Eastenders hell we now have weeks of this to look forward now! Lol

nancy75 · 05/01/2019 18:34

80’s, this is far less stupid than EE, at least we know what’s going on Grin

The80sweregreat · 05/01/2019 18:45

True : It is a bit more straightforwards than our fav soap! No silly gun touting and j hud won't be running amok in a wedding dress!
Not this week anyway!

Raahh · 05/01/2019 19:08

Apparently J-Hud has been throwing shoes at contestants , but I didn't read the rest of the article to find out why Grin

ViolaLucyofTirol · 05/01/2019 19:10

Ready to rock!! Am sincerely hoping l don't get the level of annoyance that the judges gave me last year....

NoisyBrain · 05/01/2019 19:20

Nancy FAR less stupid? Are you sure? Wink
Fewer people rising from the 'dead' I suppose Grin

Roussette · 05/01/2019 19:22

Piggywaspushed I am very concerned about my bitchy comments and dancing people! I can't be sensible about these daft programmes!

80s Saturday night is the one night we cook and eat together without fail, if we're not out, DH and me. And we've barely spoken a word to each other as there's no Wine involved!!

Barton I love how you call us all XF correspondents, makes me feel well posh Grin

Raahh · 05/01/2019 19:24

Noisy we occasionally get people trying to resurrect 'dead' careers.

Like Bernie Clifton.

And Kevin Simm- I mean, the poor bloke won and it got him nowhere. Probably just more miserable than he was before. Sad
