21 kids and counting

Just watching the latest episode - how on earth do they afford to run that household? iPhones for the kids, holidays to Spain for 20 people, a new kitchen.

There is no way a bakery would generate that much money. Would channel 4 really pay that well for their participation in the programme?

I saw the last programme, they all seemed nice enough. The older boys wanted more privacy and quiet which is hardly surprising.

EdWinchester · 03/01/2019 22:43

It was so depressing. Those poor kids.

And Sue is like a zombie.

HelenaDove · 03/01/2019 22:44

It would probably do Noel well to remember that its likely his daughters who could be choosing his nursing home.

potatoscone · 03/01/2019 22:44

They didn't have branded food it was all from aldi/Lidl?

In the bags they had the Aldi/Lidl yoghurts but they showed a box of muller corners. I'm sure they buy Aldi/Lidl and are paid to show muller.

BornInAThunderstorm · 03/01/2019 22:46

On a purely practical level I wonder how she copes at Aldi when the staff bang £350 worth of shopping through, how does she even fit it all on their tiny conveyors before they start scanning?! Grin

HelenaDove · 03/01/2019 22:46

So there are lot of brands happy to feed this ridiculous obsession to advertize their products.

HelenaDove · 03/01/2019 22:47

I wonder how the Aldi staff/till operators cope.

GerryblewuptheER · 03/01/2019 22:48

And tehres a thousand pounds for a pram but nothing that resembles a meal to the point the kids eat the blocks of cheese whilst sat in the fridge.priorities hey...

Lifeofa · 03/01/2019 22:49

I think the children are at different schools due to a change in admission criteria. There was something on Facebook possibly early last year when he said she would move them all and I wondered how much the new uniform would cost for them all.

HowlsMovingBungalow · 03/01/2019 22:51

Yes, who allows a child to climb into a fridge to sit on bottom shelf and eat a block of cheese.

As I said before. Bonkers.

Xmastummyhasgonebig · 03/01/2019 22:51

Was this a new episode?

GerryblewuptheER · 03/01/2019 22:52

Why are they so hungry that they need to do that Confused

HelenaDove · 03/01/2019 22:53

poor Chloe

MamaHechtick · 03/01/2019 22:55

What's with the constant crying of the younger ones? They sound like the cries of toddlers that have had enough.

Redcrayonisthebest · 03/01/2019 22:55

^*Yes, who allows a child to climb into a fridge to sit on bottom shelf and eat a block of cheese.

Missed that bit, but the house did look chaotic though, I'm not surprised she was complaining that she was tired.... I was tired just watching them, especially the toddlers crawling over the table Grin

HelenaDove · 03/01/2019 22:56

what did they think it would be like

HelenaDove · 03/01/2019 22:58

Is Chloe the one who went to uni?

bluebellpillow · 03/01/2019 22:59

The Muller yoghurts appear in every show. They have worked with Zanussi, BT, Apple, another internet provider, a 4x4 was a 'surprise' in the last show just to name a few. That Take a Peek scan place always gets full frontal signage in every show so there are probably perks there. She was also waxing lyrical about a bugaboo and iCandy prams in previous pregnancies. To be fair they disclosed the recent Zanussi deal but that was a first.

Singlenotsingle · 03/01/2019 23:01

How does anybody ever get any sleep with a new baby, three or four preschoolers, and all the others? Shock

Belindabauer · 03/01/2019 23:01

For me it's not about whether they can afford them, it's the quality of life the children get.
What if one of them is an aspiring gymnast but would n e ed to go to classes 4 times a week and needs an adult to take them? Then another one wants to go swimming two nights a week. Another one would like to attend ballet class and another one football practice but that classes withstand lessons and rugby practice?
I know it's not essential for children to attend hobby classes but none of these 21 can as the parents can't physically do it.
Also what possible advantages there be to being one of 21 as opposed to one of 10?
I can't think of any advantage of having 20 siblings I really can't.
It's such a selfish thing to do.

brizzledrizzle · 03/01/2019 23:03

It strikes me as similar to living in a youth hostel.

Mummyoflittledragon · 03/01/2019 23:03

Mine won’t be having sex under my roof full stop

Yeh right. That’ll work.... not. They’ll just do it in the day when the house is empty. Besides, would you rather they exercised in safe sex in a safe environment or a quick bang without precautions in an unsafe one?

Belindabauer · 03/01/2019 23:06

They won't know what there kids are doing, they can't possibly watch them all.

HowlsMovingBungalow · 03/01/2019 23:07

Brizzle - me too, but with 21 siblings you can't shut the door to. Hell, at least they can beat the shit out of each other for the noise and disturbance 24/7 with no comeback. Confused

( I have no siblings - thank feck )

CelticKiwi · 03/01/2019 23:08

Chloe tried to go away to uni but had to come back to help Sue out
