Remember watching this fondly as a teenager.

Would it stand today or be 'of its time'?

Loved Moonlighting but it went downhill fast when they actually got together.

BW is so good in it, shame he never did any more comedy after he became a big action hero.

I agree, I think this was his best acting ever.

If it seems a little hazy, that'll have been the net curtains :o

The thing I've enjoyed Bruce Willis in the most, since then, is Fifth element. One of few films I have watched more than once without getting bored of it. PP is right, he should have done more comedy.

I recall Kevin Smith has quite a lot to say about BW being somewhat difficult to work with. Apparently everything is done on "Bruce Willis Time" (although to be fair could be a massive who clash)

Another interesting thing about Moonlighting is that it doesn't get the credit it deserves for being innovative - it seems to have been forgotten because there weren't enough episodes to play endlessly on cable channels in the US. But as far as I know it was the first show to use the "walking & talking" scenes which were such a hallmark of The West Wing.

And the speed of dialogue - it didn't patronise the viewer by signalling every single joke.

Does anyone else remember the receptionist, Agnes DePesto?

Always answered the phone with a rhyming verse as her opening greeting.

I still remember the taming of the shrew episode! 😁

And the episode in the lift after she lost the baby. Still makes me tear up.
