If you have teens perhaps, and they obviously share the password with their friends!
So annoying

Change the password and don’t give it to your teens any longer.

GaryBaldbiscuit · 21/12/2018 09:12

I don't really want to change the password

OP posts:
PattiStanger · 21/12/2018 09:18

Change the password or you'll be bombarded with email recommendations for unsuitable programmes , this is from my own dcs watching preferences never mind their friends

NonaGrey · 21/12/2018 09:19

Why not?

ticktockimback · 21/12/2018 09:21

If you won't change the password then live with it but I think your stupid if you don't.

HRTpatch · 21/12/2018 09:21

NonaGrey gives a legitimate solution.
OP says no.
Typical.

HuckfromScandal · 21/12/2018 09:28

We all have separate channels within the same Netflix account. Therefore I don’t get bombarded with recommendations about their rubbish!

GaryBaldbiscuit · 21/12/2018 09:32

we have separate channels, I am not bombarded by adverts, I am just peeved.
Obviously I do know I can change the password, I am not an imbecile. Hmm

OP posts:
PattiStanger · 21/12/2018 09:34

Why would you not remove the peeve by changing the password, if it's annoying enough to be worth making a thread it seems the obvious answer

GaryBaldbiscuit · 21/12/2018 09:35

I am sure I was going to say something else about the whole business in my opening thread, but I had to dash out,

some odd programmes anyway, being watched Shock
I sign out of all devices and hope they get the hint.
They will be friends of my teens anyway so no bigdeal

OP posts:
ChipsAndKetchup · 21/12/2018 09:35

If you won't change the password, what is the point of your thread?

gamerchick · 21/12/2018 09:35

If you change the password you wint feel peeved. Then tell them if they log in elsewhere then to log out again or they can pay for their own Netflix.

It's a minor irritation that can be rectified Confused

gamerchick · 21/12/2018 09:36

I sign out of all devices and hope they get the hint

Grin teens don't take hints.

RatRolyPoly · 21/12/2018 09:40

Do you want to talk about the sort of thing they're watching? I guess the only reason you wouldn't want to change the password is if it's something that, despite the peeve, you're happier being able to keep an eye on...

NonaGrey · 21/12/2018 11:12

They will be friends of my teens anyway so no big deal

But it is a big deal, because apparently your teenagers don’t understand why handing out confidential passwords to other people is a bad idea.

What if someone who now has access changes the password and locks you out?

What if they’d handed out your Amazon Prime password and other people’s fraudulent view cost you money?

Speak to your teens about data privacy and change your password

PattiStanger · 21/12/2018 11:38

Very good point about one of the friends changing the password, that alone should be enough to make you change it imo

GaryBaldbiscuit · 21/12/2018 12:31

I think I am the only one who can change the password

OP posts:
GaryBaldbiscuit · 21/12/2018 12:32

and anyway, their friends are hardly going to be so devious

OP posts:
SlowNorris · 21/12/2018 12:35

So what was the point in the thread?

GaryBaldbiscuit · 21/12/2018 12:52

can't remember,
just a discussion not a row

OP posts:
NonaGrey · 21/12/2018 13:00

and anyway, their friends are hardly going to be so devious

But now the information is out there you don’t actual know who has the password. Their friends could have passed it on to anyone.

This is a discussion, it’s not a row.

GaryBaldbiscuit · 21/12/2018 13:27

but it is boring.
i just wanted lighthearted chat
byeee
