Overall now, Manila is the only clear winner for me but even the producers had to make her segment seem better than it was. The whole roast was so unfunny, it was a write off episode for me. So annoying that they’ve slept on Naomi all this time as they’re making her seem less than she is - and where are her confessionals? Literally all the other queens have way more screen time. This week especially, as the show cut a scene where Naomi and Manila talk about loved ones they’ve lost.
None of the others (Naomi included) are big competition, I’m actually surprised at Trinity who came across as much much stronger in her original season (remember her pill chugging anyone :) ). Monique has done really well and liking her aesthetic a lot but also not impressed by her attitude, and just stop with the “stunning”. Too many of the girls are looking sideways at Manila as they know she’s the threat, but they should just be showing their own talents and not so distracted.
A huge part of who is an All Stars winner for me is their growth, over the years past their original season. BUT a lot of the queens just have more cash to spend on clothes that are made for them by Diego and the other designers, so it’s hard to know how much of it is their input and their taste. I love Monet and will forever, but her looks are still a bit basic for me. Trinity also hasn’t come up with anything interesting. Val has, but she seems to have massive funds/ external support. Even Manila’s runway was basic af, but no one pulled her up for it. And some of the queens, it’s only been a year or so since their original season - I don’t like the rush of them trying to make it to All Stars. But I can see Monet and Monique being under Ginger Minge/Katya clauses too, as they’re so likeable.
When Ru says the rules are suspended, does that just mean we’ll get normal lsfyl by the bottom two? Can’t see them going to weird (to the pp) as we might have a Shangela elimination all over again, and Ru can’t risk it becoming too farcical
