X FACTOR- It's the FINAL weekend! We have survived! Sat /Sun 7.30pm *******SPOILERS*********

(I don't usually worry about spoilers , but sometimes we get people getting sniffy over the Final thread). )
So- you've been warned.

Here's hoping the Winner's single won't be something from the Greatest Showman- which this entire series has been a big advert for. We do usually know what the Winner's song is by now though.

In a bit of a twist, it would appear Simon doesn't think the acts can carry a Winner's single by themselves, so this is who they have been teamed up with
Dalton- performing with James Arthur, Scarlett is with Leona Lewis, and Anthony is with Ricky Wilson (minus his Kaiser Chiefs).
They will all get to perform their song, which doesn't usually happen, usually only 2 go through to Sunday.

The traditional Duets are still happening-

Scarlett has the dubious honour of singing 'Angels' with Knobbie
Dalton has been paired up with Emili Sande for the crime against grammar that is 'Beneath your beautiful', and Anthony is performing 'Leave the Light on ' with Tom Walker- and is not, surprisingly, singing with his bestie Louis.

It is December 1st, I will have mulled wine and mince pies.

I do think that the Dalton/James pairing will be the best- because one thing James Arthur doesn't do, is over sing. If Dalton wants to warble (and I don't like it ) then that's fine, but JA doesn't so much.

Me and DH went to a Leona concert years ago. She's got an amazing voice.

Seeing Leona reminds me of how exciting X Factor used to be and how poor it is now in comparison.

JA did a beautiful version of Careless Whisper on Dermot’s show some time ago, it was actually v lovely.

Leona is ridiculously talented if a tad melisma heavy, and seems like a lovely person.

I do wonder if that’s why she isn’t a bigger star, in terms of hits anyway. Maybe she doesn’t have that steely ambitious, sell the Nan core

Leona was class. Probably the only UK winner who would have done well on the US version (which always seemed to have far better singers from the odd bits I saw)

Leona's was the first year I watched X-factor! That has made me feel so old. And she's barely aged.

Leona was a quality winner, but she was very similar to so many acts that Simon wanted to pitch her against. I must admit, she bores me. Voice wise, I'd rather hear James Arthur, or have someone like Rebecca Ferguson win.

I loved Leona's single... what was it... Love hurts or something. She has a great voice. How we've sunk to a low with this show!

I play that Leona song every Xmas. Very underrated as a festive tune.
