Full of flue and have the house to myself

Not even going to get ready today, just snuggle on sofa watching 'comfort' tv with box of tissues and Day Nurse

Any suggestions if I like:

Bonus Family
This is Us
Period Dramas/Film
Amazing Mrs Mazel
Gavin and Stacey

Thanks

Thirteen on bbc I player was good - few years old now though
Saw over shadowed today too - only 10 min episodes ... it works though - so short for those with concentration problems (me!)

The Last Kingdom on Netflix. 3rd season just landed today. A great watch, highly recommend.

The Sinner, Orphan Black, Grace & Frankie, The Good Place - all on Netflix.

Ray Donovan, DC Legends of Tomorrow, The Gifted, Seal Team - Now TV.

@BagelGoesWalking thank you for bringing this to my attention! the last kingdom is just so good, I assumed it was on netflix because it was showing the seasons that had been on the bbc. Didn't realise they had picked it up and made a third

Offspring
Australian family
So so good best series I ever watched

BagelGoesWalking · 19/11/2018 23:33

Champoo Happy I mentioned it! I loved S1 & 2. I'm having to wait 24 hrs to watch S3 as DS27 taking a day off work tomorrow and travelling down to watch with me 😬

If you haven't watched it yet Stranger Things on Netflix bing watched it while suffering from flu last year and it's fantastic.

AesopsMables · 20/11/2018 05:05

Thank you all for recommendations- feeling a little better now.

For anyone else who finds themselves in a similar situation. Not wanting noisy/complicated/intense viewing. My personal favourite to help keep your spirits up when feeling crap...

Brooklyn 99 - clever and bloody funny

Now. Just have to find the time to watch next 70 episodes Grin

Is Mrs Masel worth the effort? I watched one episode and was really not fussed.

sunshinethroughmywindow · 20/11/2018 12:17

Sorry for late response but as you like very similar programmes to me I thoroughly recommend Vera ( Danish with subtitles). Fabulous - I watched it straight after Bonusfamily. P.s hope you're feeling better.

AesopsMables · 20/11/2018 12:26

Thank you Sunshine
Yes to I watched that a few years ago and very good! but don't you mean Rita not Vera? Or have I more to watch?

BTW - if anyone likes Spanish films then watch Toc Toc. Comedy about a bunch of OCD patients waiting to see their delayed therapist after being booked in by mistake for the same slot Grin
