Just caught up and thought the marking was frankly bizarre. There’s something to be said for the Dancing on Ice format where the judges give their marks first - at least then they have to give some justification for them in their comments.

I thought it was unfair to mark Danny so low when he basically made one mistake (which he then had to follow through on, and as Bruno said, did so with consummate professionalism).

Ranj was camp as Christmas 

The marking was just silly last night. Kate's dance was not brilliant but no way was it only worth a 4.

Danny started off on the wrong foot and then could never correct the dance but I thought he danced well and surely some consideration should be made for that.

Joe's marking was a joke. His paso pose was not that good, his hands looked awful and I am pretty sure he made a mistake when he slid on his knees across the floor. The judges obviously want to make sure he is kept in though.

Ashley can dance but she just bores me. I find myself just not really watching properly when she dances. I want to see people progress each week not be able to dance like a pro from week 1.

I also hate the fake modesty of Ashley and the "oh it was so difficult all week". Yeah right it was. Plus, and I know it is silly, I absolutely hate the way she pronounces Pasha's name. Ok she is American but does that mean she can't say his name properly?

I've warmed to Faye which I didn't expect. Don't like Ashley and would like it to go.

I really like Kate but do think her time should be up soon, I don't think she's likely to improve much more.

Joe definitely didn't deserve 9s, like mydog I thought he stumbled on the knee slide and his facial expressions were ridiculous.

I can't stand Ashley. I agree some ringers are needed to make it enjoyable to watch from the start, but her sheer wealth of experience coupled with the saccharine false humility makes her very unlikable to me. I agree with the posters who said she dances technically brilliantly but without much emotional connection or warmth.

I'm really coming to like Stacey, she's my winner at the moment.

I like Stacey. Find Ashley’s dancing technically brilliant but not emotionally engaging.

I was just watching Joe and Dianne again, definitely not worth three 9s, although he obviously did put a lot of work into it and the shaping and timing is very good, he just didn't have the right level of power/forcefulness. The knee slide didn't quite work properly and he came up from it a bit off balance, you can see that Dianne has to hoik him back into position a bit, she's obviously pretty strong to be able to do that. I would have thought that 30 to 32 was about the right score for that.

I've been thinking about Faye and Ashley... both are ringers but Faye seems to be enjoying it all and dancing the dances whereas Ashley seems to just be learning the routines and performing them.

Stacey has thrown her whole heart and soul into her dances.

I think Faye and Ashley have very different styles, Ashley is really strong and muscular and her style is technically very good but fast and forceful. Whereas Faye is more lithe and detailed, she can't match the acrobatic ability of Ashley but I prefer her performance, she's more elegant.

Loved how Stacey brushed off both Tess and Claudia's attempts to talk about her injury. She's a class act.

I particularly liked this, too Nikita - in a culture where everybody whimpers over a broken fingernail, or blames that really deep blackhead, or that piece if spinach that got stuck in their teeth, it's very refreshing to meet someone who says - "just a flesh wound - no bother" and gets on with it.

I've never been keen on Charles but I'm getting very angry on his behalf the was he is constantly under marked - he's MUCH better than he is given credit for, and even when he misses the mark, he is usually a pleasure to watch. (Unlike Ashley who is just an automaton - no feeling, no enjoyment - nothing).

I'm warming to Faye - she seems to be a genuinely nice lass - it's not her fault she's a Ringah!

I'm hoping Kate goes tonight. I don't think she's going to progress in her technique and skill, and Lauren and Ranj look as though they are enjoying themselves much more than she does (and Ranj is just so much fun - he's just a little camp bundle of enthusiasm!).

I like Joe more than I thought I would, and he is getting better each week, but there's no way he should have been getting the marks he did.

I loved the Cat and this fondness rubbed off on DJJ, but for a professional, he's very disappointing.

Lauren, bless her, has just started to get her confidence, but she's not interesting to watch.

Stacey's my very favourite - she's bubbly and hard-working and enthusiastic and really seems to enjoy every moment, and she's gone from complete novice to pretty impressive in quite a short time.

I want her to win.

Swanny etc are a pleasure to watch when it's dancelike last night's, but doesn't have a cat in hell's chance even with Oti - he's nice but middling, but I like how he seems to enjoy it.

Part of my enjoyment of Ashley’s dances comes from Pasha - he’s mesmerising! I love how he moves and I’m so glad he has a partner this year that he can really let go with and show off his prowess and skill. I only started watching Strictly the year that Jay and Aliona won so I’ve never seen Pasha with someone decent!

I love Oti. Quite often when she is dancing I struggle to focus on the celeb partner and have to watch the dance again later to form an opinion on it. She is long and elegant and so beautiful to watch. I'm less keen on Janette, especially in ballroom when she makes it all look a bit frenetic when it should be refined. I also adore Gorka, that man's hips in the latin dances ... I have no words to describe it.

I think the difference between Faye and Ashley is that Ashley executes the dances well but is a little cold and emotionally removed. Faye on the other hand really feels the dance and shows much more warmth and emotion. I much prefer watching Faye dance.

A thought –IS Stacey a total novice, does anyone know? She's very good and seems confident performing as well.

See I really disagree with this. I think that Pasha dances with his bum stuck out quite often and doesn’t seemed to have aged too well

I can't stand Ashley. She's just too gushing every time she gets voted to stay in.
